Holding the Galaxy A50s will instantly remind you of the Galaxy A50. It brings the sleek, slim and light body that we love about the previous model. The Galaxy A50s is 7.7mm thick and weighs just 166 grams, making it light and easy to hold. The slim design along with the curved back panel gives a good feeling in the hand.
The curved back panel is made of plastic, which is a little disappointing for a phone that costs more than Sh20,000. In other words, the plastic body makes the phone light and comfortable, so it’s a good trade-off, if there is one. .
The biggest change in appearance comes to the panel itself, which gets a brand design on the back and each box offers the same color shade. The Galaxy A50s comes in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White and Prism Crush Violet colors. The violet color is very special in the version. I found a black option which is actually gray in color and gives a seedling like gradient when viewed from different angles.

The Galaxy A50s is a premium phone, but it’s easy to use with one hand. Getting to the top of the display requires a bit of adjustment with your grip, but the buttons are a good length and provide a very pleasant touch. Out of the box, the Galaxy A50s feels as stylish as you’d expect. The program opens and works quickly and I had no crashes during use. The 6 GB RAM model we reviewed can handle switching between apps with ease, though you may struggle to do so.
The Galaxy A50s performs well for everyday use such as browsing the web or social media apps, texting and streaming videos. However, it won’t be smooth or smooth as you will find yourself stuttering as you go through the program. The Galaxy A50s comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock. Both biometric options are slow compared to brands like Oppo, Realme and Vivo. The fingerprint sensor, for example, is sluggish and the animations are not smooth at all. Low-end speakers can be loud, but not as clear as high-end speakers. Samsung has updated the triple camera on the Galaxy A50s. While the A50 offered a 25-megapixel primary camera, the Galaxy A50s gets a 48-megapixel sensor, which puts it ahead of the competition. The other two cameras in the setup include an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The selfie camera has also been upgraded from 25MP to a 32MP sensor.
The Galaxy A50s camera can definitely take on phones like the Redmi K20 and Realme XT. Their cameras can take very good pictures during the day which is not surprising. If there is a lot of light in your environment, the Galaxy A50s will take good pictures.
