Update A50 Amazon Price Review – The Samsung Galaxy A50s was launched in August 2019 with Android 9 Pie and now runs on Android 10.
Samsung Galaxy A50s has started receiving new firmware update with camera improvements and January 2021 security patch in India. The phone has not yet been updated to Android 11 and is still running on Android 10. The latest update comes with build number A507FNXXU5CUB3 and is reported to bring new camera features like Single Take and Night Hyperlapse to the Samsung Galaxy A50s. My Filter feature has also been added to the phone with the update. This camera feature was introduced with the Samsung Galaxy S20 series.

Galaxy A50s gets improved camera performance and improved security with the latest updates. According to a report on Tizenhelp, it brings the Single Take feature to the phone for users to take multiple images and video formats at the same time by tapping the Shutter button. Night Hyperlapse, as the name suggests, allows you to take hyperlapse videos in low light conditions. The My Filter feature allows you to create custom filters that can be saved for use on other images. You can create and save up to 99 custom filters. These features were first introduced with the Samsung Galaxy S20 series and Samsung has moved them to mid-range smartphones.

According to the report, the size of the update is 219MB. If you do not receive a notification for the update, go to Settings > Software updates > Download and Install to see if it has reached your Samsung Galaxy A50s. If not, wait a few days and it will automatically reach you.
Along with the camera improvements, the Samsung Galaxy A50s will also receive the January 2021 security patch. As of now, it is running the November 2020 security patch. The phone is still running on Android 10 and One UI 2.5, and currently, there is no word on when the phone will be updated to Android 11. Samsung has refreshed the Galaxy A series in 2019 thanks to its decision to improve the specifications and offer a strong price. Samsung Galaxy A50 has a lot to choose from, but only available online.
Luckily, the unlocked variant is now available for pre-order via Amazon (h/t: SamMobile ), for $350. If you pre-order now, you’ll also get a Samsung Galaxy Fit fitness tracker. However, the retailer said the item will be released on September 20.
The Galaxy A50 ticks a few boxes for a mid-range smartphone in 2019, featuring a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED (FHD+) screen, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 4,000mAh battery with 15W charging.
Samsung’s mid-ranger isn’t too bad elsewhere, offering an Exynos 9610 chipset, 4GB to 6GB of RAM, and expandable storage of up to 64GB or 128GB. A 25MP selfie camera in the waterdrop notch and a triple rear camera setup (25MP, 8MP ultra-wide, 5MP depth) round out the photography side.
Anticipation Builds For Amazon’s Upcoming Results
Our own Dhruv Bhutani in his Galaxy A50 review thinks the device is one of Samsung’s best mid-rangers in years. He appreciated the OLED screen, design and performance, but also liked the software experience compared to the Redmi Note 7 Pro.
“This phone does not block and does not bother you with long permissions, and it certainly does not appear ads. For me and I think a large number of users, this is a big incentive,” wrote Drew.
The only downside is that Samsung has announced the Galaxy A50s, which replaces the A50’s 25MP sensor with a 48MP main camera. But otherwise, the A50s offers no other distinction.
