A report by DealNTech claims that the Samsung Galaxy A12 could launch soon with an Exynos 850 8nm octa-core processor, paired with the Mali-G52 GPU. Samsung originally launched the smartphone in November 2020 and it was powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage – which can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD card. The smartphone was later launched in India in February with the same specifications.
The SM-A127F/DS model was also spotted in a Bluetooth SIG listing, and a previous report by GizPie hinted at the European price of the upcoming Galaxy A12 smartphone with the model number SM-A127F. It is expected to be priced at EUR 157.90 (approximately Rs. 14,000).
A support page for the SM-A127F/DS is also available on Samsung’s website, which suggests that the smartphone could launch soon. The support page is visible on the Samsung website in the Philippines.
Whistleblower Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) also spotted the Samsung Galaxy A12 with Exynos 850 SoC in the Google Play Console listing. The listing suggests that the Exynos-powered Galaxy A12 can be coupled with 3GB of RAM. It can also run Android 11 and feature a display with a resolution of 720×1,339 pixels. Interestingly, the listing also suggests that the smartphone might be called Samsung Galaxy A12s at launch.

Other smartphone specs may remain the same as the original variant with MediaTek Helio P35 SoC. The new Samsung Galaxy A12 may feature a 6.5-inch HD+ TFT screen. For optics, the smartphone may feature a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and dual 2-megapixel macro and depth sensors. It may have an 8-megapixel primary sensor for selfies.
