The premium LG OLED swivel TV is priced at Rs 75 crore in India. The main reason for the high price of LG’s round OLED TVs is the rolling technology in the TV.

LG previously introduced a Rollable OLED TV called the LG Signature OLED R in India, and now Reliance Digital has announced the retail of the world’s only OLED TV at its flagship store in New Delhi. LG’s signature OLED R is exclusively available at this store in South Delhi’s Ex-II.

Doesn’t offer much in terms of functionality. LG’s flashy OLED TVs don’t even come with the best picture quality in LG’s OLED lineup. Its performance is the same as LG’s 2020 line of high-end OLEDs.

Additionally, the foldable TV comes with high-end features like HDMI 2.1, 4Hz resolution up to 120Hz refresh rate, support for HDR standards like Dolby Vision, variable refresh rate, Amazon Alexa/Google Assistant, and Dolby Atmos. LG says the Rollable OLED TV R can withstand at least 50,000 rolls over its lifetime.

Over the past few years, LG’s ‘C’ series of OLED models have risen to the top of my list as the best high-end TVs for the money, and the C2 is the latest example. The C2 offers picture quality that’s a clear step up from any non-OLED TV I’ve seen, a wider range of sizes than before, including a new 42-inch option, and a price that’s not too steep.

This year, however, the competition for OLED TVs is stronger than ever. LG’s arch-rival Samsung also has OLED TVs, promising better colors with its brand new QD-OLED panel. Sony offers two different OLEDs, of which the QD-OLED looks pretty sweet in person. In 2022, more TV manufacturers are selling smaller LED models, which promise better picture quality for less money than OLED.

While impressive, the C2 isn’t a huge leap from previous models. In a side-by-side comparison, the C2 and last year’s LG C1 OLED TV looked very similar despite the C2’s new “Evo” panel, which is one of LG’s 2022 updates.

I haven’t seen any other 2022 OLED TVs yet, but from what I’ve seen so far I’d be surprised if they’re significantly better than the C2. The C2 is also cheaper and smaller than the LG G2 and its QD-OLED TVs. It also outperforms QLED TVs like the Samsung QN90B and TCL 6 series. That’s why I consider the LG C2 the best premium TV for the money in 2022.

I conducted a hands-on review of the 65-inch OLED C2, but this review applies to other screen sizes in the series as well. All sizes have the same dimensions and should provide very similar image quality, according to the manufacturer. The exceptions are the 42-inch and 48-inch sizes, which lack the “Evo” panel, so may be slightly darker than the others (though the difference is minimal, if my comparison with the Evo C1 is any indication).

The C2 series sits in the middle of LG’s 2022 OLED TV lineup, with the widest range of screens and all the features I’d expect from a high-end TV. If you spend more for the G2, you’ll get a slightly brighter panel, according to LG, as well as a wall-friendly “photographic” design. The cheaper A2 lacks HDMI 2.1 gaming capabilities, a 120Hz refresh rate, and the modern processing power that other LG OLED 2022s have.

The C2 is a very nice, minimalist-looking TV, similar to previous LG OLEDs, but the company has made some changes for 2022. When a colleague and I built it, we noticed the first such change: it’s lighter. The C1 is a significant amount, 47% lighter for its size. The 65-inch version I reviewed weighs just 41 pounds, while the 65-inch C1 weighs 72 pounds.

According to LG, the new carbon fiber material is responsible for the weight reduction, and I noticed it on the back of the TV. The edges of the board are also slightly jagged. I also appreciated the narrow bezel, 6mm thinner than the C1, making the whole picture look bigger, though I probably wouldn’t have noticed if I didn’t have two TVs. The footprint of this unit is smaller than last year’s and it raises the board a bit higher on the table, both of which are improvements in my book.

Unfortunately LG kept the same distance. As I get older and easily bored with too many buttons, I really like the simple, simple layout of the Samsung and Roku/TCL remotes. As always, move the cursor or use the built-in scroll wheel to move quickly through the menu.

LG’s WebOS menu system isn’t my favorite, partly because of the clutter. You’ll see notes and notifications at the top, a box with weather forecasts, a quick access to LG’s system, a seemingly random collection of things labeled “trending now,” and then (finally) a list of apps below. Signing up unlocks new 2022 features, personalized recommendations and additional user accounts. LG highlights that you can create your favorite sports teams, for example, so most people skip the clutter by going straight to the app. As usual, I prefer a simple interface like Roku, and if you like customization and options, Google TV is a better choice. For this expensive TV, you should buy a good streaming device instead.

The new product for 2022 is also what LG calls “always ready”. Instead of turning off the screen when you press the power button, the TV chooses wallpaper, a clock, “soundboard” art, or your own photo. Designed for people who want to get

They don’t have big black rectangles on their big screens, which is similar to the ambient mode that Samsung TVs have been offering for the past few years. Personally, I save energy, so I leave this feature (and the TV) on.

Always ready performance components and LG’s screen saver prevent burn-in. Here I remind you that, like all OLED TVs, the C2 is prone to temporary and permanent image retention, so-called burn-in, and not LCD TVs. The risk is low, so I don’t think burn-in is the reason most people avoid buying an OLED TV. See the OLED Burn Guide for more information.

LG has also added a new multi-source feature that puts two sources side-by-side or in a picture, but unfortunately it’s quite limited. You can’t display two HDMI inputs on the screen, and the most important thing you can do – side-by-side screen sharing with your phone – doesn’t work with Apple AirPlay. Like most TVs, the C2 supports Apple’s phone mirroring feature, and by saying a wake word like “Alexa,” you can speak to the remote or, new for 2022, issue voice commands to Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
