The image quality of the Q65-QE is definitely one of the main highlights of this 4K TV. As mentioned, the use of quantum dot technology allows the TV to produce brighter, more vibrant colors, providing a much, much more enjoyable viewing experience than a regular LED TV.

Whether I’m streaming HDR content on Netflix or gaming on the PlayStation 5, I’m impressed with the Q65-QE’s wide color gamut. Better in the dark on the Q65-QE, like it is in the cinema. After all, HDR content shines brightest in the dark — we can really see (and appreciate) the wide dynamic range between the brightest and darkest parts of a movie scene or game without ambient lighting.
That’s not to say the Q65-QE isn’t bright enough for comfortable viewing in a well-lit room, because it is. Also, since it uses an IPS panel, you also get wider viewing angles. Although it gets a bit dark when viewed at an angle, it doesn’t affect the viewing experience too negatively.
Also worth mentioning is the Q65-QE’s overall response, an area that many TV manufacturers don’t pay enough attention to. The UI doesn’t feel laggy and I can seamlessly switch between different apps without any noticeable lag. I also like the dedicated Netflix and YouTube buttons on the remote.

Last but certainly not least is the design of the Q65-QE. Thanks to the thin bezels around the 4K panel, it looks sleek and modern in any room. It’s also relatively easy to assemble, though you’ll definitely need someone else to help lift it—it’s a big 65-inch TV.
While the PRISM+ Q65-QE has a lot going for it, it does have some downsides. Its black levels could be better. When you watch TV in a dark room, the blacks aren’t dark enough, so it looks almost gray.
However, this is an inherent feature of IPS panels. Its contrast level is not as good as VA screen. That being said, although a VA panel will produce darker blacks, it will also have worse viewing angles. Ultimately, it depends on what you value more.
Also, more and more TV manufacturers are releasing 4K TVs with 120Hz refresh rates, so we guess some people won’t be thrilled that the Q65-QE is “only” a 60Hz 4K TV. But it’s important to put things in perspective here: these 120Hz 4K TVs also cost money
