Things To Get A Guy For Christmas – Let’s face it, guys are not easy to get. Even though I give Mark ideas for things I like at least once a day, lol, that’s not the case with him. Every year I make a list of the things he mentions, but it’s still hard to come up with good ideas for Christmas.
Since guys are so hard to get, I thought I’d round up some of the favorite things I’ve given Mark over the years, as well as some items he told me he now loves.

I asked Anel for help with this. He is very specific about what he does and is very loyal to the brands and products he loves. He doesn’t like being surprised with a gift, so I always ask him for a list. Then I give him something sentimental, like a photo book of the year or a framed photo of him with Amalia. These are definitely his favorite gifts.
But here are some other gift ideas that are either on his list (aka Airpods Pro) or things he owns and loves (everything else).
Gift Guide For Men 2022
1. Fjällräven Backpack, $98. Not all backpacks are the same. It looks like any other backpack, but it’s full of little surprises. Durable, yet light and modest in design, which is exactly what Anel likes in a work bag. It has a side pocket for a water bottle and a small fleece-lined pocket at the top, which is perfect for sunglasses or an iPhone to keep them from getting damaged. Inside there is another padded compartment where Anel keeps his iPad (also fits a laptop). Available in 6 colors but dark blue is my favorite.
2. Anel’s Favorite Organic Cotton T-Shirt, $98. I got him this Henley from Faherty this summer in Nantucket. He loves wearing henley on weekends and I know Faherty is one of his favorite brands. He fell in love with the shirt and bought a different color last week. When I asked her why she likes it so much, she said it’s because it looks so sexy… She’s not wrong!
3. “The only acceptable slipper for men,” $79. Anel and I have been wearing Wicked Good LL Bean loafers for years and she swears they are the best because they are warm without looking silly. We replace them with a new pair every 3-4 years, because in winter we wear them at home every day.

I Asked The Ups Guy What He Wanted For Christmas…
So it was a bit traumatic for him. I bought him eight packs of Bombas socks to cheer him up and now he’s obsessed. He also wears their quarter socks at work. In fact, Bombas has a great gift guide on their website so you can pick whatever you want.

5. AirPods Pro, $249. What about boys and gadgets? Anel is a premature baby and always wants to be the first to receive something new and exciting. Airpods Pro have hit your holiday list this year. They’re like regular Airpods, but they have a noise canceling mode (great for train commuting and flights) and a transparency mode that lets outside sounds through, allowing you to hear and connect with your surroundings. Outward-facing and inward-facing microphones allow AirPods Pro to eliminate the sound-isolating effect of the silicone tips, so everything sounds and sounds natural, just like talking to people around you. They actually sound pretty good!
6. Lululemon Joggers, $128. If I had to choose the most worn item in Anel’s wardrobe, it would be 100% lululemon ABC joggers. He was a longtime brand ambassador and part of that role was testing new products before they were launched. The biggest win in his book was joggers. He also wears them on weekends when we go out during the day because they look good with the Allbird, but it’s like sweatpants. We bought a pair for my father and brother-in-law last year.

7. Shinola Runwell watch, $550. OK, that’s a big expense, but it’s a really beautiful watch made in the USA with a classic design that will be relevant for decades to come. I bought it for Anel last Christmas and she wears it almost every day. It’s a solid, well-made watch that doesn’t have the unnecessary price tag of many of the more fashionable brands.
8. iPhone charger, $25. I gave it to her last year as a stocking stuffer and it turned out to be a great gift that she uses every day. I love the idea of giving everyday items (like chargers) as gifts because you know people will use and appreciate them. If you have an iWatch, this weighted charger ($49) is a great gift.
9. Teak & Tobacco Candle, $28. Real men burn candles. That’s all I have to say on this matter. Anel burns candles in her gym to create an atmosphere and loves her masculine yet subtle scent.
10. Allbirds sneakers, $95. Anel loves Allbirds so much we had to stop him from buying more. He currently has 5 pairs and both agree that they are the most comfortable sneakers. I personally like them because they are machine washable and can be worn without socks. They look great with jeans or sweatpants. He wears his with everything.
