This is a good sounding game from 2006. It’s not perfect, but it has its charm. Sega tried to do something new with the Sonic franchise because that year was its 15th anniversary. Sonic was pushing new boundaries with 06, and its compelling gameplay was well worth the money spent. “Ah” I miss the simpler days of Sonic 06 … my life was not the same.

Most other Sonic gamers I know think this game is a pile of crap. I don’t disagree that the graphics are good, and aside from some avoidable bugs and long loading screens, the game is pretty decent. Sure, the story is terrible and yes, I can still say that this is one of the worst Sonic games ever. But if you can get this game for free, I think it’s worth the money. It’s still a Sonic game that you’ll have an enjoyable time with if you can ignore the issues I mentioned.
