Sky Mobile Sim Only Deals
Another big advantage of Sky is their data packages. In general, Sky tends to offer good data allowances at fair prices. It also includes “piggy bank” data. This allows you to keep your unused data for up to three years, withdrawing 1 GB of time if and when you need it. This option is only available to customers on contract with Sky.

If you have more than one phone on your account (family plan or attached business phone) all the data is in one account, and any connected device can pull it. Unlike many operators, Sky Mobile offers 12 month SIM contracts. There is no 30-day cycle plan available. However, Sky lets you change your contract whenever you want, so if you find you need more (or less) data, then you’re free to switch to another plan.
Also note that Sky has a different approach to pricing. All Sky TV subscribers get unlimited free calls and texts. If you’re not a Sky TV subscriber, you’ll need to pay an extra £10 off the base price to get unlimited calls and texts, or you could just be charged 10p per minute for calls and 10p per text. If you don’t call or text a lot, these rates should be fine, if you do, an extra charge for unlimited calls and texts might be a better option.

In light of the above, the basic costs of Sky Mobile SIM only bundles (with unlimited free texts and calls for Sky TV customers, but with the additional costs above for texts and calls for all other customers) are :
If you don’t have unlimited calls and texts with Sky Mobile, you’ll only be charged the standard rate of 10p per minute and 10p per text (which rises to 40p for MMS). Sky Mobile does not allow you to exceed your data limit. Instead of capped data charges, you’ll need to buy an extra 1GB of data for £10 if you need more data than your monthly allowance.

All your remaining data goes into your wallet, where you can store it for up to three years. You can top up your 1 GB data whenever you need, and you’re free to share your data piggy bank with any other phone on the same contract/zone (including family plans and business phones).
