The Galaxy S21 has been leaked in a video showing its design and performance of the Snapdragon 888 version. The memory and color configurations of the Galaxy S21 series in Europe have also been leaked.

The Galaxy S21 series might not arrive until January 14, but someone has already released a video showing off the Galaxy S21. The video was posted on YouTube by Random Stuff 2, although it is unclear who took the video. However, the video shows the Geekbench 5 result we found in the Geekbench database, so the video was recorded a week ago.

The reference to the Lahena motherboard also indicates that we’re also seeing a Snapdragon 888 version of the Galaxy S21, not an Exynos 2100 version. The listing also confirms that we’re looking at a Galaxy S21 with 8GB of RAM. As Roland Quant and WinFuture revealed today, it will be offered with 128GB of storage.
Quandt said that only the Galaxy S21 Ultra will be available with 512GB of storage, while the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ will top out at 256GB. According to Quant, Samsung will sell the Galaxy S21 series in Europe in the following configurations:
As for the video, it looks at the Galaxy S21 from a few angles before running Geekbench 5. Apparently, the devices will feature a UD fingerprint scanner that’s twice as fast as the one on the Galaxy S20 series, and has a much larger surface area to boot. Additionally, the FCC has confirmed that the Galaxy S21 series will also feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 version.
More details about the Galaxy S21 series have been revealed ahead of an expected launch early next year. Designs for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra have already surfaced this week, and now Ice Universe has released details on the status of its flagship biometric authentication system.
According to the leaker, all three devices will have faster and larger UT fingerprint scanners than what Samsung added to the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. Specifically, Ice Universe claims Samsung has doubled the speed of its fingerprint sensor between generations, and it should now be faster to ‘tap to unlock’ Galaxy S21 series handsets instead of pressing its screen. The sensor measures 64mm², making it 1.77 times larger than the sensor found in the Galaxy S20 series.
Additionally, the FCC has inadvertently confirmed that the Galaxy S21 series will have Snapdragon 888 versions. As the screenshot below shows, the documents for the Galaxy S21, referred to by its model number SM-G991U, contain the SM8350 chipset, which is the model number of Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset.

The US will be one of the countries where Samsung will sell the Snapdragon 888-powered version of the Galaxy S21 series, based on FCC filings, but it’s unclear where the Snapdragon SKUs will appear. Samsung is selling the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S20 FE globally, but there’s no indication that future Galaxy S handsets will feature it. Other Galaxy S21 series handsets should come with the Exynos 2100, which Samsung has indicated will launch on December 15.
