The Samsung Galaxy Note 21 is expected to be released in the summer of 2021, but Samsung did not go ahead with the expected release. Instead, Samsung released the Galaxy Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 when the Note series always gets a new release – in August 2021.

However, even though the Note 21 never materialized, we heard that the Galaxy S22 Ultra could be a spiritual successor to the Note series. We also heard that it might carry the Galaxy Note 22 name.

Samsung Likely To Ditch The Galaxy Note 21 Series In 2021

According to some sources, Samsung is seriously considering dropping the Galaxy Note line in 2021. At first, some sources claimed that the Note 21 will leave Samsung’s portfolio in 2021 for a small but very reasonable reason: the lack of differentiation from the S21 Ultra and the upcoming Z Fold 3, which is widely rumored to support the S Pen.

Meanwhile, a large number of conflicting rumors also indicate that while Samsung may end the Note, it will not happen in 2021. There is one last hurray in the Note series, and it will indeed be the 21st note.

In addition, another rumor suggests that we will see the Galaxy Note 20 FE instead of the Note 21.

Recently, the head of Samsung Mobile Dj Koh said “It may be difficult to launch the Galaxy Note in the second half of the year.” and added that “The timing of their launch may vary, but we will make sure that we do not let Galaxy Note customers down”. It seems that Samsung may not launch the Note 21 in August, as usual. The bad name suggests a different launch window, possibly pushing it to early next year, which means 2022.

It seems that nothing is set in stone at the moment, however, the fact that the CEO of Cellphone freely expresses concern tells us that Samsung is ready to pass the Note 2021.

We have to say that the lack of leaks about the Galaxy Note 21 over the past few months is worrying. Maybe it was really wasted… this year, at least. But hey, we hear a lot of rumors that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will support the S Pen!

If the above is not correct and Samsung sticks to its traditional plans, we should expect the Galaxy Note 21 sometime in August 2021. It will likely happen alongside the Galaxy Fold 3 or Z Flip 3/Z Flip Lite announcement.

If the launch of the Note is pushed forward, allowing the Fold Z3 to take the place of August, then the next Note could arrive in January 2022, alongside the Galaxy S22 series.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Review: A Top Phone That’s Been Replaced

As for pricing, we’re looking at a potential 1,000+ starting price for the Note 21, which could make it a tough sell as replacements get cheaper over time.

One thing to keep in mind about the Note 21 is that no details have been released yet. If that happens, the Note 21 will come with a display larger than 6.8 inches. Hopes are high that we can see the selfie camera at the bottom of the screen, so no notch or no notch at all.

Recently, Samsung has registered a trademark for its new technology. UPC, which stands for Under-Panel Camera, will bring camera sensors under the active pixels of TV and smartphone screens.

Some rumors say that in 2021 the only phone made by Samsung with a proper selfie camera will be the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Then again, there was this official video of Samsung with a mysterious Note phone that appeared for a few seconds. You guessed it, the phone doesn’t have a hole punch. So, will the Galaxy Note 21 have a camera below the selfie display? The jury is still out…

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Offers The Ultimate And Most Premium S Series Experience Yet

It has been reported that Samsung has been working on bringing cameras under the display for some time, but concerns about image quality have not deterred the youth. Remember, having the camera under the display means that less light can directly hit the selfie sensor, which is not desirable and can lead to poor photo results.

Speaking of creativity, no surprise is expected. The Note’s design language has long been on the cutting edge and Samsung has generally been true to that mantra. Expect it to be mostly out of glass, and we’re guessing that Samsung will stick to the tempered glass that was introduced with the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and metal design elements.

Being a flagship device, the Note 21 will definitely come with flagship processors: Snapdragon in the US and Exynos worldwide. Obviously, it will be the new 5 nm Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100. Of course we will see the amount of RAM and storage on board.

The S Pen will definitely be part of the package, seeing how it is an important part of the Galaxy Note line. Even if other Samsung devices support the venerable S Pen, it will remain conspicuous in the Note range. Besides pure software support for the S Pen, the Note series also has software features that enable additional functionality that make the two even better.

Samsung Galaxy Note 21: Release Date, Price & Specs Rumours

Samsung has taken software updates seriously over the past few years. The company now sells its mid-range and high-end devices with a warranty of 3 years of software support (this includes 2 major Android updates after launch). Sammy lives up to his promise, as evidenced by the recent security patches released for the nearly 3-year-old Galaxy Note 9.

Like most Glass flagships over the past few years, the Note 21 will definitely come with a triple camera setup, which includes an ultra-wide camera, a wide-angle camera, and a telephoto camera.

According to the latest S21 leak, the Note 21 could theoretically get the same triple camera system that is rumored to make it the S21 Ultra. This means a 108 MP sensor again, and 100x hybrid zoom. The biggest disappointment is that we expect two zoom cameras – a 3x telephoto camera for photos and a 10x telephoto camera for lossless zoom.

Of course, there will be a very wide camera. So yes, you guessed it right – 4 cameras on the back. The main camera has a high resolution, 3x telephoto, 10x zoom, and one ultra-wide. When does it end?

Of course, we fully expect the Note 21 to be 5G-ready out of the box. The new interface is on its way to being something new, rather than an aftermarket product, so flagships coming out in 2021 and beyond have no excuses but support it. Like the Galaxy S21, we expect the Note 21 to be compatible with the mmWave and Sub-6Ghz standards.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra Has Crushed The Note 20 Ultra

Tipster @UniverseIce shared a couple of cool unofficial renders of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 21 and Galaxy Note 21 Ultra. The rendering highlights many of the key features we can expect to see in the 2021 smartphone design.

We are fans of the gold finish that is only shown in the versions. But more interesting are the bezels, or almost their absence. The Samsung Galaxy Note 21 shown here has 1mm bezels at the top and bottom and curved sides of the Galaxy series.

Both the fingerprint scanner and the front camera module are missing, suggesting that Samsung will go the display route in both areas. A number of phones, including last year’s Redmi K20 Pro, have shipped with fingerprint recognition technology. Many 2020 smartphone designs are expected to feature front cameras under the display. The so-called updated version of Oppo Find X2 Lamborghini will use this advanced technology.

The Galaxy Note 21 series with both under-display and under-finger cameras will bring us closer to the limits of conventional smartphone design. Where do smartphones go from here?
