Forget buying albums and T-shirts, Singaporean fans of popular K-pop girl group BLACKPINK will soon be able to own high-tech band products such as smartphones, headphones and watches.

In a press release on Friday, July 26, Samsung announced the launch of the BLACKPINK Special Edition series in Singapore. The limited edition includes the BLACKPINK-themed Galaxy A80, Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Buds.

The bundle – available at all Samsung Experience Stores and the official Samsung Lazada store from August 1 – costs S$1,198 (US$875), Samsung said.
While the price may seem steep to younger fans of the band, Samsung is trading in extra perks to give buyers exclusive bragging rights.
According to Samsung, users will have access to exclusive BLACKPINK content on the Galaxy A80, such as the BLACKPINK startup animation that starts when the smartphone is turned on, as well as curated themes and icons.
The smartphone also comes with a personalized photo carousel on the home screen and a set of BLACKPINK stickers.

The Galaxy A80 combines three cameras—a 48-megapixel camera, an 8-megapixel 123-degree ultra-wide camera, and a 3D depth camera—that rotate every time you turn the phone to the front or back.
The official listing on Lazada’s LazMall lists the original non-BLACKPINK version of the A80 at S$898.
The Galaxy Buds – also in black and pink – come with the case in the same colour.
In a statement, Samsung said the package was designed to “provide fans with an immersive experience for their active lifestyle” and allow them to “get more joy out of their favorite activities.”

BLACKPINK isn’t the only K-pop group with their own smartphone design. In 2018, LG launched the Q7 BTS Edition for KRW 473,000 (S$547) in South Korea.
