Samsung Flip 3 Green Colour – Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 3 has been rumored to come in a total of eight colors, and a reliable industry insider seems certain of four.
Ice Universe Galaxy Z Flip 3 is sure to be available in Light Purple, Green, Blue and Black. Interestingly, these color variations were also seen in leaked promotional material.

Samsung’s desire to expand its color palette is a further indication that it’s betting big on its upcoming foldable line.
If you count the expensive Thom Browne edition, the original Z Flip was available in four shades. The Z Flip 5G, which followed a little later, will come in three colors.
Apart from the addition of brighter colors, Samsung has also made some minor but impactful changes to the design. Notably, the rear cameras are now positioned horizontally, and the cover display has grown from a meager 1.1 inches to a useful 1.83 inches. These changes make the background look like a two-color design.
Apart from this, the Z Flip 3 is also expected to have thinner bezels than its predecessor. The main 6.7-inch display is likely to remain the same size and the weight of the device will remain the same.

Other notable upgrades include a 120Hz refresh rate for the main screen and a Snapdragon 888 chipset. Despite these upgrades, the Z Flip 3 is expected to be more affordable than the Z Flip 5G.
The Flip 5G was introduced at $1,449.99 and the price was later reduced to $1,199. Word on the grapevine is that the Flip 3 will cost less than $1,000, with recent reports suggesting it will cost $959. That seems like a great price for a flip phone with high specs, and this could make the new Flip 3 one of the best phones of the year.
The foldable phone is rumored to launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy S21 FE in August.

At Unpacked 2021, Samsung unveiled two new smartwatches, a pair of wireless headphones, and most importantly, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3, its latest foldable smartphones.
I’ve gotten my hands on both benders and my first impression is that they’re very sturdy. After all, there have been a number of improvements since their last iterations that make the concept of a foldable smartphone more practical for the common man, despite their expensive price tag.

When I first picked up the Z Fold 3, it felt like a “dummy device” compared to the previous Z Fold 2. Although the smartphone is only 11G lighter than its predecessor, the difference is immediately noticeable. The Z Fold 3 is also quite slim compared to the size of the Z Fold 2 and not as bulky as its predecessor.
The Fold 3 feels more premium than the Fold 2, for example the back of the device includes a matte texture that feels premium and prevents the smartphone from being covered in fingerprints, though it still attracts fraud.
The foldable cover screen now has a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. I used the Z Fold 2’s rooftop screen quite a bit, but returned to the larger screen several times because of its 120Hz refresh rate. With the Z Fold 3, that’s no longer a problem.

While the handset’s screens still have screen protectors, they’re not that noticeable, no matter how clear they are in terms of visuals and touch. In fact, when I first picked up the Z Fold 3, I had to look very closely to see if it was there. However, unlike the Z Fold 2, Samsung told me it’s not removable. Samsung calls the protector a “screen protector,” which provides extra protection for the Gorilla Glass 6 display on the foldable glass.
In my short time with the Z Fold 3, I didn’t find the fixed screen protectors to be a problem, as they mostly look like regular screen protectors and are part of the screen. This seems to be the problem the South Korean tech giant set out to solve with the Z Fold 3, and it certainly worked. I’m still concerned that the small indentations that sometimes appear on the Z Fold 2 screen will return with the Z Fold 3, so stay tuned for my full review.
Moving on to the internal display, the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s most exciting feature is the new display under the camera (UDC).
In short, definitely not what I expected. Samsung says it’s able to hide the notch on the front by placing the pixels on the screen above the camera lens. While this is true, the pixels on top of the lens are probably more visible than the actual sensor and look a little odd. This is especially noticeable when you have a white background. You can also actually separate it from the rest of the screen when viewing content from apps like YouTube. Like a still-present screen overlay, I might forget it’s there at the time. That said, I didn’t expect the pixels to look so weird.

When you take a selfie, the front camera pops up and looks like a normal photographer. I briefly used the under-display camera in bright light, and while the resulting image didn’t look great, the difference compared to the Z Fold 2 was negligible. It was 4-megapixel and Z Fold 2 10-megapixel. With that in mind, more testing of the rear camera is definitely needed before I form a final judgment.
Other new Z Fold 3 features I was able to test included the ability to dock the Edge bar on the screen to create a desktop-like “taskbar.” This makes it easy to share the screen between two apps. I haven’t tested this feature much, but it’s something I plan to explore further when I get a review device.
It’s also worth mentioning that Samsung has partnered with several app developers like Netflix, Slack, YouTube, and Spotify to create a better optimized experience.
Another key feature of the Z Fold 3 is S Pen compatibility. Z Fold 3 works with both S Pen Pro and S Pen Fold Edition. This accessory does not come with the Z Fold 3 and must be purchased separately or in a bundle (price currently unknown).

On the other hand, my opinion of the new Galaxy Z Flip 3 is a bit more negative. Overall, the device feels a little less premium than the Z Fold 3 or last year’s Z Flip 5G.
While the back features a Gorilla Glass Victos material that protects the Samsung Z Flip 3 from scratches, it attracts fingerprints like the Z Fold 3 and makes it a premium device like nothing I’ve ever used before.
The Z Flip 3 also features what Samsung calls “Armor Aluminum” to better protect the device when folded. While this helps the phone in terms of durability, it also gives it a slightly bulkier look compared to the Z Flip and Z Flip 5G.
Up front, there’s a large 1.9-inch screen to cover. I really like the switch to a larger display compared to the 1.1-inch display on the Z Flip 5G. The cover screen now lets you perform tasks like using Samsung Pay, scrolling through quick settings, checking notifications for legitimacy, and accessing additional widgets.

I wasn’t able to test this in my short time with the Fold, but you can customize the title screen to match the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic watch faces.
The Z Flip 3 is also thinner and lighter than the Z Flip 5G. With that in mind, it’s worth mentioning that a woman at an event I attended said the device easily fits in a woman’s trouser pocket. Considering how women’s pants rarely have pockets – and when they do, they’re tiny – I’d say that’s a good thing.
