There’s one thing missing that might put you off: 5G. This is a 4G phone. It will still be a 4G phone, making sure you enjoy low-cost mobile internet while you have it.
Video stability is another problem. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro can record 4K video, but there’s no resolution above 1080p, and it shows – it’s useless in most cases.

You get a powerful 108MP camera. And although you shouldn’t rely too much on this high megapixel count, it produces beautiful images and gives you access to a good night.
It also has an unusual, and unusual, camera. Most micro phone cameras are pretty useless. This is great for nature photos.

That might not sound too cheap for a 4G phone. If you really want 5G you might as well stop reading now. But the Redmi Note 10 Pro excels in other areas – we rank it among the best Xiaomi phones.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro has a mix of high quality and low quality. This is a recipe we really like.
For example, you get a headphone jack, like cheap phones. But the back of the Redmi Note 10 Pro is Gorilla Glass, not the plastic used by most smartphones today.
The only clear sign that the Redmi Note 10 Pro is a cheap phone is that its sides are plastic instead of metal. We’ve used the phone a lot with this charging case, and as such you can’t tell the difference.

Redmi’s big design ‘buy’ here isn’t the glass on the back, but how the rear camera system works. The main lens has been given its own silver surround, and there’s a two-stage model that shows off the camera’s achievements more than it should.
We end up with a phone that could easily be mistaken for a price of $700, not $279. Sure, this short camera isn’t great, but it’s not cheap.
Special bases also apply. The Redmi Note 10 Pro isn’t too thin at 8.1mm, and its sub-200g (193g) weight isn’t too high. You think it will cost more. Well, unless you are a phone enthusiast who knows how expensive phones from brands like Redmi and Realme are.

Considering the price, we really like the design of the Redmi Note 10 Pro hardware. However, if you intend to use it, there are no signs of buttons on the plastic side as part of the “budget” donation.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro uses a fingerprint sensor, not a prototype, but it’s fast and reliable. There’s also an IR blaster on top, used by the Mi Remote app to allow the phone to act as a universal remote.
You’ll only see this on Chinese phones, but we’ve used this feature several times over the past 12 months.
In the endless section you need in an emergency: speakers. The Redmi Note 10 Pro is the best for a budget phone. It’s loud, offers plenty of bass, and has two drivers. One sits at the bottom, the other at the top of the screen. And Redmi delivers above, above and beyond both. This enhances the audio quality and ensures that you don’t block while playing.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro screen is also an example. It’s a large 6.67-inch 1080 x 2400 OLED display with a 120Hz panel.

The OLED panel is also a great display for its high refresh rate. ‘120Hz’ means the image is twice the frame rate, and it scrolls through your app drawer more smoothly than most other budget phones.
Cheap cell phones aren’t new, but a few LCD models have small but noticeable channels and high resolution, cutting down on cheers. There are no such problems here.

This screen has a large color gamut that supports HDR10 video, can adjust colors, and even higher levels of brightness.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro will drop to 400 nits at maximum internal brightness, while the display will output 594 nits in bright conditions according to our color scheme. We had no problem taking pictures with this screen on a clear day.

It’s not the most powerful processor we’ve seen at this price point. The Snapdragon 765G and 750G, which are used in 5G phones, have more powerful GPUs. Here we find another less powerful 4G ready.
We could not run Geekbench 5 on this test model, as it is blocked from doing so. But judging by the previous results of the Poco X3 NFC (with the same CPU), its score is almost the same as the Snapdragon 765G phone. It’s in GPU-driven tests like 3D Mark that you’ll see something different.
Our advice is not to delay the exam too much. The Redmi Note 10 Pro’s day-to-day performance compares strongly to phones three times the price, and it’s perfect for gaming.
Fortnite won’t let you use the 60fps mode available on some high-end phones, and ‘Medium’ is the maximum viewing angle. But it runs at a very smooth 30fps, without the usual drops seen when you hit the ground at the start of the game.
