Verizon’s 4G LTE Broadband Router with Voice is anything but simple and does exactly what its name implies. Instead of a home cable or DSL connection, users can use an LTE device for a home Wi-Fi network that can connect up to 10 devices simultaneously. It also has a home phone jack and three Ethernet ports.
The router is part of Verizon Wireless’ efforts to expand its portfolio and use its 4G LTE network beyond the simple smartphone. Faster connections allow users to incredibly ditch their home internet lines for relatively fast LTE, but data caps mean that heavy to moderate internet users won’t even consider it.
The product also has some limitations that narrow the already limited number of potential users. The device is designed to work with Verizon Wireless’ “Share Everything” plan, which further limits the amount of data you can use.
