The Lord Of The Rings And The Hobbit Trilogies Are Being Released On 4k Ultra Hd Blu Ray
I just bought two trilogies in a pile a few weeks ago but The Hobbit is jumbo and they don’t have the full version either.

The Hobbit trilogy is also planned but a bit later than Lord of the Rings (Covid delays etc…)

Germany has some Amaray 4K releases listed for December 3rd, 2020 so the French release which is supposed to be in December can go ahead. The same goes for The Hobbit Trilogy.
There doesn’t seem to be a blu-ray disc for this or The Hobbit, only 4K… Mockup of the US release below…

I have read a lot about unremastered bluray discs, new scans are only used for 4K discs and rumors say that Bluray discs (remastered from 4K scans) will only be released at the end of next year (Autumn 2021)

OK, so it looks like France won’t be getting a hardback of The Lord Of The Rings.
The rights went to Metropolitan in France to be another steel book artwork, partial or no Warner release. It doesn’t seem to exist (official TBC)

Well, I’m sure Metropolitan will have a nice polished trilogy next year but maybe with a French title.
The French box looks good in my opinion, still won’t buy it because I need the English title and the remastered bds and bonus to satisfy my needs
Looks like the French still have a chance to pick up a steelbook series with an English title with a French soundtrack. The Benelux release is actually the one sold in Belgium/Netherlands and also available on Amazon France.
