Unfortunately, you need a Windows PC to use the tools we need to do this. When we tested this method, we used Virtualbox Windows 10 – and everything worked flawlessly. In the Lineage OS build column, you can find ZIP files containing the so-called Lineage 13 snapshots or Nightly Builds for Lineage 14.1. The first one is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, so they are not very updated and stable. The latter is based on Android 7.1 Nougat and is updated almost daily, although they are not yet fully developed.

I was surprised that CM 14.1 was able to support all the important features of the Galaxy S5. Problems that often occur with camera quality cannot be reproduced. I really like the S5 camera now, thanks to the additional optimization and exposure control features.
Overall, the S5 seems to be faster because of the new firmware, and if you buy a new battery for $15, your phone should last at least a year.
