The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus is a rarity. The Note series of phones has always been Samsung’s latest and greatest. But with the brilliant and innovative S10 series and the new Galaxy Fold, the Note 10 Plus feels out of place. But does that make it a bad phone? Not at all. The Note 10 Plus excels on every level and has some cool new features that make it stand out. But is it the phone for you?
The Samsung Note 10 Plus is the larger and more expensive of the two models in Samsung’s Note 10 series. The Plus model has a huge 6.8-inch screen, four rear cameras and a bigger battery than the smaller Note 10, and you’ll pay $150 more for the privilege.
Perhaps the most controversial aspect of the Note 10 Plus, however, is what Samsung decided to remove rather than add. The Note 10 Plus (and Note 10, for that matter) is the first phone in the Note series to lose the headphone jack – Samsung says it was to add a bigger battery. However, we are not convinced that this is a step in the right direction.
Both phones retain the trademark S Pen stylus from the Note series. Samsung has made it smarter than ever, so you can control your music, play and pause videos and take photos. The S Pen also features a new set of gesture controls, allowing you to perform a range of actions in Samsung’s apps.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Review: Seriously Worth The Price
One of our (unacknowledged) complaints about the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was that it looked a little, well… boring.
The Note 10 Plus, on the other hand, is a triumph of Samsung’s design. Our “aura glow” sample looked incredible, with light reflected from the back casing in a spectrum of colors. The single punch-hole camera on the front is small and inconspicuous, and the device appears to consist of a screen.
And as you’d expect from a device costing over $1,000, every button and device on the Note 10 Plus exudes quality. There’s also a noticeable heaviness when removing and replacing the S Pen.
The screen itself is an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1440 × 3040, with support for HDR10+. To put it in less cheesy terms, it’s wonderful. Samsung has been creating brilliant screens for a long time, and the Note 10 Plus is no exception. It’s bright and incredibly sharp, but we were really impressed with the contrast levels and lack of motion blur.

The Note 10 Plus probably has the best smartphone screen on the market, barring the 90Hz and 120Hz refresh rate screens produced by companies like OnePlus.
The screen also bends at the sides, which makes the Note 10 Plus feel a little smaller in the hand. However, we found that we occasionally touched the sides of the screen when trying to use the phone with one hand or holding it horizontally. Of course, this problem isn’t unique to the Note 10 Plus, it’s part of the curved screen experience, but it’s still annoying.
It uses the latest Snapdragon 855 processor in the US (Europe and Latin America have Samsung’s Exynos processor) and has a whopping 12GB of RAM. The latest iPhone 11 Pro Max, on the other hand, has 4 GB of RAM. It doesn’t necessarily guarantee that the Note 10 Plus is faster than the latest iPhones, but you’ll never experience slowdowns with the Note 10 Plus – the hardware won’t allow it.
However, we found that the phone got a bit warm during intensive use. If you plan on using the Note 10 Plus for a lot of heavy gaming, this is something you’ll want to keep in mind.

The Note 10 Plus also has a huge amount of storage. The standard model has 256 GB, but you can also choose a 512 GB model. If that’s (somehow) not enough space, it also supports microSD cards.
The Note 10 Plus has four rear cameras: a 12Mp wide-angle lens, a 12Mp telephoto lens for zooming, a 16Mp wide-angle camera for great stills and landscape videos, and a time-of-flight lens. to measure depth. But do all these cameras take good pictures?
In general, the images are sharp and full of details. However, it sometimes lacks some “pop” – it’s not a photography term, but compared to some Google phones, for example, the images on the Note 10 Plus lack a bit of vibrancy.
