Decent power and the fact that these batteries can often be picked up at a good price make the Energizer Recharge Power Plus AA 2000mAh a practical choice for most applications. With support for 1,000 charges over their lifetime, these batteries will also last a long time. However, if you need more power, look for a higher capacity battery.
Energizer Recharge Power Plus Review
Energizer sells the Power Plus line of rechargeable AA batteries in two capacities. The Energizer Recharge Power Plus AA 2000mAh under review is the company’s lower capacity battery and is slightly cheaper than the Extreme 2300mAh model.

They held up to their rated capacity in my tests, but the finer details of what’s on offer aren’t as readily available as other similarly priced options.
If there is one problem with Energizer Recharge Power Plus AA 2000mAh, the company does not disclose much information about its product. On its official website, the company states that the batteries can hold a charge for up to 12 months, although it does not give a final figure for the expected final state of charge after this period.
What I do know is that if you want batteries that hold a charge for a long time, the GP ReCyko Pro AA batteries can hold a decent charge for up to five years.
Charge cycles are important with NiMH batteries: this is how many times a battery can be charged and discharged during its lifetime. Energizer Recharge Power Plus AA 2000mAh can last for 1000 charges, which is much longer than many other batteries. Duracell rechargeable AA 2500mAh, by comparison, has a lifespan of 400 cycles.

I used an Ansmann Energy XC3000 battery tester to test these batteries. First I measured the battery voltage and checked when they were fully charged. I got a result of 1.4V, which is above the nominal 1.2V for NiMH batteries. This result is a little closer to what I would expect from an alkaline battery.
I then tested the primary capacity using a high drain test (600mA +/-20%). Initially, the battery offers a capacity of 2138mAh, which is above the nominal capacity of 2000mAh.
I then charged and discharged (cycled) the battery 50 times, taking capacity readings every 10 cycles. While results were consistently above rated power, I saw a bit more fluctuation here than the competition. It’s no problem; One more observation.
These batteries are well priced and perform well, so grab them if you see them on sale

Energizer Recharge Power Plus AA 2000mAh is a decent set of rechargeable batteries, available at a good price and the 1000 cycle life limit is very good. A battery that can be charged multiple times will cost you quite a bit more. If you want a battery that you can charge regularly and don’t want to spend a fortune, this is excellent value. If you need more power, you can buy a Duracell rechargeable AA 2500mAh battery for the same amount, which has a much higher capacity; If you’re buying in bulk, the Amazon Basics High Capacity Rechargeable AA 2400mAh is cheaper if you need a battery that you charge and use immediately.

Consistent results with a decent number of charge cycles make the Energizer Recharge Power Plus AAA 700mAh battery you can trust. Cheaper batteries or higher capacity batteries are probably better choices for most people.
From a big name in batteries, the Energizer Recharge Power Plus AAA 700mAh is a simple set of rechargeable batteries that don’t offer the same capacity or number of charge cycles as the competition. While there is nothing wrong with these batteries, there are better options available depending on what you want the batteries to do
Firmly in the middle of the field, the Energizer Recharge Power Plus offers about what you’d expect from a set of AAA 700mAh rechargeable batteries. According to Energizer, the battery can last for 700 charge cycles, which isn’t bad. However, you don’t have to look far to find long-lasting batteries. For example, Eneloop AAA lasts for over 2,000 charges and even Amazon Basic’s rechargeable AAA 800mAh lasts for 1,000 cycles.
Energizer says these batteries will hold a charge for up to 12 months, but doesn’t specify the percentage of charge remaining. Based on other NiMH rechargeable batteries, it’s common to expect about 80% of the charge after this time, so I’d imagine the Energizer Recharge Power Plus AAA 700mAh would fall into this category.

To see how well the Energizer Recharge Power Plus AAA 700mAh battery performed, I used an Ansmann Energy XC3000 battery tester. First I measured the voltage of the batteries when they were fully charged. It should be at least 1.2V, so the batteries were looking good at 1.27V
I then measured the capacity using a high-drain test (600mA +/-20% with a cut-off voltage of 0.94V). Here, the core capacity was 737mAh, which is above rated but still solid midrange.
I then ran the batteries through 50 charge and discharge cycles to see how they performed over time, taking readings every 10 cycles. As you can see from the graph below, Energizer Recharge Power Plus AAA 700mAh batteries have proven to be compatible.
If you need more power or more charge cycles, there are better options to get.
