Dji Phantom 3 Firmware Update Download – I just went to download the latest firmware for the drone from Dji’s website, but on the filename it says P3S… I wonder if that’s right because the Phantom 3 Pro says P3X, and after trying to download this firmware for advanced, the Phantom now continuously beeping saying it needs a camera update.
Is it possible that this file is for Phantom 3 Standard instead of Advanced? I’ll be linking to a full video and explanation of the problem later, so if you think you have a solution to this please come back later to see my last post.

With you OP and the download screenshot, it looks like you downloaded P3S_FW_V01.11.0020.bin, not the P3A you linked to.

This is exactly what I clicked on, and when I opened the zip folder, it said P3S, not P3A

This is what I downloaded. I’m wondering if there’s a bug on Dji’s part that somehow connects the standard Phantom 3 firmware in the folder to the Phantom 3 Advanced.

Since the benchmark does not list a firmware version newer than 1.09.20, I must say that you have downloaded the correct version.

File starting with P3S_FW ……… correct for P3A. When you look at it you think it’s for standard, but it’s not.
Well, I emailed them the day I created this post, and they responded pretty quickly telling me it was indeed the right file….
“You mentioned the .bin file in our website for Phantom 3 Advance, actually the one we posted in the site and the one you downloaded is correct, please use what we have in the site. The bin file for Phantom 3 Advance is P3S_FW_RESULT_AB.txt.” Where is the link Downloading the latest firmware for this drone? It is not in the official download section.

For P3SE, there is no .bin file for firmware update. And if it needs to be refreshed when you change another battery, the app will pop up the message.

I updated another battery, when I put it in the DJI GO drone app and it indicated that it needed to be updated (assuming just the battery, since the drone was already updated to the latest firmware)
As a result, this information is always displayed with this new battery and you can’t just update the battery with the app
So you need to put the BIN file on the micro SD card and manually update the battery to get the drone working with the “painful” firmware.

I totally get it. In fact, the firmware is also updated with the drone, if you have more than one battery and you receive the update message for the battery only, you can click the message and update like the first battery update. Hope it helps.
