Update Samsung Tablets Under 10000 Review – Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite review: Good coverage for an affordable Android tablet. Samsung made it six by bringing the S-Pen to the budget tablet segment.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite looks good, comes with a budget stylus, but needs some UI and performance improvements.

Samsung dipped its toe into the “cheap” tablet segment with the Galaxy Tab S5e last year. The idea was to bring the features of a flagship tablet into a reasonable price segment. This year, Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite – Rs 27,999 for the Wi-Fi only version and Rs 31,999 for the LTE model – with the same intention.

I received a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite a few weeks ago. During the review period, I had good and bad days with the tab. So in this review we’re going to talk about everything: What’s good about the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite? What could be better? Is it a good iPad or Surface Go replacement?

The first thing you notice about any device is always its design. You may not be very familiar with what a phone/tab/laptop looks like, but in my opinion the design of a device can make or break your experience. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite does well on this front.

When I opened the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite for the first time, I was struck by the beautiful blue matte finish, enough to get me excited. (I can’t tell you how much I love reviewing black versions of everything that comes in; some days it’s hard to tell the difference.) The symmetrically cut edges and rounded corners fit naturally between my hands. I love how sleek the tab is. And for a tab with a 10.4-inch display, it’s not too heavy either (467 grams).

The Tab S6 Lite features a 10.4-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels. The display colors are well balanced. It’s great for reading e-books. I’ve also watched tons of movies and videos on the tab. Add a stand to your smartphone and the video viewing experience is excellent.

The device has two speaker networks; one up and one down. So when you place the tab horizontally, the stereo experience is really good. On several occasions, Jake Peralta’s smooth lines echoed in my room with a bit of distortion. As long as you don’t expect heavy bass from the device, the Tab S6 Lite’s audio output will not disappoint.

I think Samsung’s decision to put the S-Pen in the box works very well for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. It is good enough to make one feel that they are using a premium device.

The S-Pen that comes with the Tab S6 Lite is light and feels like a pencil in the hand. There is a button that can be used to open a list of different doodle apps on the device. Without turning on the screen or opening the device, holding down the S-Pen button and double-tapping the screen also activates note mode, where you can quickly jot down the things you need.

When not in use, the pen can be magnetically attached to the right side of the tablet so you don’t lose it. It should be noted that, like the pen that comes with the Galaxy Tab S6, this S-Pen is not pressure sensitive in drawing apps like Samsung Notes or AR Doodle. However, you have the option to manually select different pen and brush sizes.

When I received the Tab S6 Lite for review, the first day I only used the S-Pen to scribble and draw, but I instinctively typed to send messages or write emails. However, on the second day of its review, I started using the handwriting function for text on the tablet. It’s been almost two weeks since then, and I haven’t written anything in this section. I just scribble or write in an article.

Handwriting recognition for text in a glossy tab. I wrote lying down, I wrote quickly, but as long as you draw the alphabet even slightly, as it should, the device recognizes it. You’ll also see suggestions for words you might have intended to write instead of the gibberish you actually scribbled down, as well as words you use a lot.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite has an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. It’s basic, it’s decent, it’ll do, but it’s not what you’re after

Apart from the image quality, the user interface of the camera app is not well optimized for the tab. The camera button is hard to reach. The picture quality is pretty average. Low-light images are grainy and dark. Night shots are just dark. Selfies are also only decent in bright light.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite has a 7040 mAh battery. It comes with a 15W fast charging adapter with a Type-C charging cable. It takes time to charge from zero to 100 percent. When I measured it, it took the tab just over three hours to go from zero to 100% charge. Instead, I preferred to charge it at night.

However, interestingly, despite watching a lot of videos, browsing social media and tweeting, the Tab easily offered me a day and a half of battery life. Sometimes it can take up to two days.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is powered by the company’s proprietary Exynos 9611 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. It runs Samsung’s OneUI 2.0 based on Android 10. I reviewed the LTE version, which makes it very easy to carry without the need for Wi-Fi or a constantly available hotspot.

In the section. All apps seemed well-optimized; And I was surprised how good it is to use Instagram on a big screen device.

However, while the tab’s performance is good and makes running tasks really easy, it’s not exactly bug-free. Google Chrome crashed in the tab several times. Even while browsing the feed, the Instagram app froze a few times where I couldn’t even get back to the home screen. I had to turn off the screen and re-enter the tab. The Slack app also became unresponsive several times.

. Although the gaming experience is quite good with a large screen, the large size also makes prolonged gaming difficult as the hands get tired quickly.

But I’m happy to overlook these weaknesses. What really irked me about the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite are two flaws in its user interface – the lack of ‘double tap to wake’ and facial recognition.

Imagine your tab next to you and you want to check the time or see your notifications. The user interface forces you to reach for the power button first. This may have been acceptable in the past, but with all the training our phones have given us, it seems counterintuitive today. The only feature you have on the lock screen is the notes you can take with the S-Pen without unlocking the device. It’s great, but it doesn’t make up for the lack of “double tap to wake”.

Like most Samsung devices – even premium ones – the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite’s face unlock is slow and inefficient most of the time. If it didn’t work a few times, it did (and it would really surprise me when it did because I was always ready for it to throw an error and ask for the password), I always used the password to unlock the device. In the end, I chose to remove face unlock altogether. It was fine when I was living in quarantine, but it wouldn’t be very safe in the real world.

If you’re using the LTE version, there’s one feature on the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite that’s both good and not so good. Calls on the tab are automatically answered on the speakerphone. While this is a sensible feature, since you look funny answering calls in a smartphone-like tab with the device next to your ear, this feature can be very inconvenient.

The USP of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is that it brings the premium feel of the Galaxy Tab S6 and S-Pen to a slightly more affordable budget. It’s great for watching shows, playing light to moderately intense games, it’s perfect for daily social media browsing, it lets you take notes quickly, it’s the perfect size for an e-reader, it lets you draw very easily, and it’s got a lot an intuitive algorithm to convert your scribbles into text.

But to be “cheap”, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite doesn’t come without compromises. Its performance makes you want to. Its software has room for further optimization. Also, if you’re hoping to get a removable keyboard tab, you can cross the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite off your list; It does not come with one, nor can you purchase it separately.

Still, despite the tablet’s flaws, I’m still thinking about the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite
