Measuring 159.2 x 75.1 x 8.9 mm and 191 g, the Galaxy M31 is a heavy phone by today’s standards. While recently touting the lightweight nature of the Pixel 3a XL, the M31 felt mammoth in comparison. But with that extra weight comes a weight that lets you know this is still a solid product, even if it’s on the cheaper end of the spectrum.

When you turn the phone over, however, things start to look a little different. For starters, the M31’s plastic back is a perfect fingerprint magnet, and the sleek body itself doesn’t hold your hands well. While there’s a slight camera shift here, the four-sensor camera array is almost the phone in your pocket or face down on a table.
