Update Samsung Galaxy 12s Price Review – How Samsung plans to further develop its popular Galaxy A series in 2023 can be seen in this weekend’s first rendering images, which are already available in good quality and in 360-degree video format, based on a CAD leak. It starts with the successor to the Galaxy A13, which apparently gets a little bigger in every dimension.
With the mid-range model of the Galaxy A series in particular, Samsung may have met the taste of many customers, with the Galaxy A50, Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A52 and their offspring being South Korea’s cash cows for years. However, this year’s Galaxy A53 was particularly criticized for its lackluster Exynos processor, which is admittedly smaller than the entry-level model of the Galaxy A series.

The Galaxy A13 is already available in three versions this year, on the one hand, the very cheap 4G model, available not only with Exynos 850, but also with Mediatek Helio G80. The 5G version, which is available from Amazon for around €200 and also differs from the 4G model in terms of rear cameras, is of course slightly more expensive. Compared to the 4G model, you have to do without one of the four cameras, and this is likely to be the case with the Galaxy A14 in 2023 as well.

As the render images visualized below and above, based on a CAD model leaked by @OnLeaks (via Giznext), show some changes at first glance. On the back, there are three separate camera eyes in the upper left corner, on the front, Samsung is switching from an Infinity V display to an Infinity U variant with a U-shaped notch at the top. Interestingly, this suspected Full HD + LCD size should be 6.8 inches, compared to 6.5 inches or 6.6 inches on the Galaxy A13.
Measuring 167.7 x 78.7 x 9.3mm mentioned by the leaker, the Galaxy A14’s body is also slightly larger in all three dimensions than its predecessor’s chassis. The fingerprint sensor is still on the right side, the 3.5mm headphone jack remains in the entry-level class for another year. It is not yet known when the Galaxy A14 will be officially presented, with the Galaxy A13 it was already in December 2021.

As a young tech enthusiast with a background in assembly and overclocking, I worked as a projector with good old 35mm film before entering the computer world professionally and working as a Windows customer for an IT service provider in Austria, Iphos, for 7 years. IT solutions. – and server administrator as well as project manager. As a well-traveled freelancer since 2016, I’ve been writing about the latest mobile technology on smartphones, laptops and all kinds of gadgets from all over the world. The Galaxy A12 is still one of the few phones in Samsung’s lineup. use an OLED display. It is PLS panel or Samsung IPS LCD screen. At 6.5 inches, it’s anything but small, so if you’re looking for a bigger screen, the A12 delivers. The 1600×720 resolution is a bit on the low side at this size, with a pixel density of 270ppi, but if you’re not deliberately looking at fine text up close, you should be fine.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Vs Galaxy S21 Ultra
In our tests, the Galaxy A12 delivered just under 400 nits of brightness when we ran the slider manually. The phone doesn’t have a dedicated ambient light sensor, but it does get a reading from the selfie stage for adaptive brightness purposes, and we got a slight boost to 472 nits with this switch. Boost or no boost, the contrast hovered around 1:1300, a good if insignificant number considering the phone’s LCD screens.
Unlike most other Samsungs, the Galaxy A12 doesn’t have color modes — that’s all. And it’s a panel that can reproduce the sRGB color space to some extent. The de2000 measured an average of 4.9, although there was a clear blue shift and the white point was about 8 units off target.
The Galaxy A12 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, plenty of capacity for its relatively modest hardware. Indeed, this combination makes for quite respectable durability figures.
We spent over 16 hours of web browsing over Wi-Fi and an hour less of offline video links. The A12 lasted over 31 hours on a voice call, which is great, with a low power reserve. After all, the Galaxy A12’s endurance score reached 123h.

Our battery tests were automated thanks to SmartViser via its viSer app. The endurance rating above tells you how long a single battery charge will last you if you use your Samsung Galaxy A12 for one hour a day, browsing the web and playing videos. We’ve created this usage pattern so that our battery performance is comparable across devices for the most common everyday tasks. The battery testing procedure is detailed in case you’re interested in the nitty-gritty. You can check out our full battery test chart where you can see how all the smartphones we’ve tested will compare in your typical use.
The included charger is the old and reliable Samsung Adaptive Quick Charge (which is QuickCharge 2.0 compatible) that we’ve seen for years. It’s unclear what charging standard the phone supports, but in our tests it maxed out at 15W with the screen on. When the screen is off, it hovers around the 11W mark.
With this adapter, the Galaxy A12 goes from flat to 100% in 3:03 hours, which is pretty slow. The 20% you get after connecting for 30 minutes is also quite disappointing. Overnight charging sounds like the default way to use this Galaxy. The good thing is that its battery life is long enough that you usually don’t have to worry about making it through the day.
The Galaxy A12 has a single bottom speaker. It’s one of the quietest phones in its class, with a ‘below average’ loudness rating in our 7-track test. It doesn’t stand out in terms of quality, either, with no bass response and muted treble response. There’s no distortion to speak of at maximum volume, so that’s nice.

Use the playback controls to listen to sample phone recordings (headphones are best). We measure the average speaker volume in LUFS. A lower absolute value means a louder sound. By looking at the frequency response graph, you will know how far from the ideal “0db” flat line the bass, treble and midrange reproduction is. You can add other phones to compare how they differ. The results and ratings are not similar to our older speaker test. Learn more about how we test here. After many users complained online that content on the Galaxy S21 series often only displays at 60Hz instead of 120Hz since updating to One UI 4 based on Android 12, Samsung has now confirmed that the issue is widespread.
Last Monday, Samsung began rolling out the One UI 4 update based on Android 12 to the Galaxy S21 (around €700 on Amazon), Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra. The software update brought not only new features and design optimizations, but also bugs.
In particular, users quickly noticed that the display of the Galaxy S21 series reaches a full 120 Hz only when touching the touchscreen with a finger, otherwise the frame rate drops to a maximum of 60 Hz. According to user reports, all models of the affected series, the European variants with Exynos 2100 and the US version with Snapdragon 888,
