Update Samsung A51 Specific Review – The Samsung Galaxy A51, one of the company’s most popular mid-range smartphones, will now only receive two updates a year instead of four, according to Samsung’s website. Most Samsung phones, including the A-series devices, are promised to receive three Android OS upgrades and four years of security updates. The phone, which is just over two years old and has only received one of three Android OS upgrades, has now been downgraded to receiving two years of security updates from the previous three months. The Samsung Galaxy A51 last received an update in February 2022. The Samsung Galaxy A51 5G, on the other hand, is still promised to receive security updates every three months.
Samsung usually promises to provide its smartphones with four years of security updates. These updates are issued monthly, quarterly or biannually depending on the phone. The Galaxy A51 previously received quarterly updates, meaning the smartphone received a new update once every three months, which has now changed to twice a year according to Samsung’s Dutch website, which was first spotted by GSMArena.

It’s been a few months since the Galaxy A51 received a firmware update and it was time to make a change. Samsung has just started rolling out a new update for the Galaxy A51 and is now rolling out a new security patch for the 2019 mid-range phone.
Although Samsung has made the October 2022 security patch available for several devices, the Galaxy A51 is not among them. Instead, the mid-range phone is now getting the September 2022 security patch. And as of this writing, availability is limited to the SM-A515F variant in Russia.
The update carries firmware version A515FXXSS5FVI1, and as you can see from the firmware number structure, the update only includes a newer security patch and nothing else. There aren’t any new features to look forward to, but the improved security is nothing to sneeze at, especially for an older mid-range phone from 2019.

Galaxy A51 Review: Samsung Galaxy A51 Review: A Capable Performer
Three weeks ago, Samsung released a security update for the international version of the Galaxy S10 Lite for September 2022. And the US versions of the phone missed the update. The company has now released an update for the US variant of the Galaxy S10 Lite. A new software update for the Galaxy S10 Lite in the US has opened […]Samsung Galaxy A51 review: Wait for the price drop It’s not a bad phone, just a bad deal. (In the US, anyway.)
Samsung brought me. On paper, the company’s Galaxy A51 seems to have everything you could want in a $400 smartphone. Big and beautiful screen. Many cameras. 4000 mAh battery. Great inspired design and headphone jack. As an avid – some might say rabid – fan of ambitious mid-range smartphones, I was ready for the A51 to take its place alongside other modestly priced standouts like the Pixel 3a XL and the iPhone SE. She never did.
That’s not to say the Galaxy A51 is a bad phone. Samsung has a lot going on here, and during a week of testing, I found it perfectly comfortable at times. Unfortunately, all the things the company did well couldn’t make up for some awkward and inconsistent performance: this is a $400 device that sometimes works like a $250 device. I don’t think this is enough to make the A51 a bad smartphone, but it does make it a bad deal.

Samsung Galaxy A52 5g Vs Galaxy A51 5g Comparison
The Galaxy A51 I tested is the Verizon Wireless model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. (Disclaimer: Verizon is the parent company, but has no influence on what we’re saying.) Sprint and AT&T also offer this version of the A51, and no matter which carrier you choose, they’re all sell you the phone for it. $399. That doesn’t seem too steep, but it’s worth noting that the phone can be had for less when bought unlocked, especially if you live outside the US. If you’re serious about owning an A51, there’s a lot to be found: it’s not worth $400.
If there’s one thing Samsung deserves credit for, it’s that the A51 in no way looks like a $400 phone. With a surprisingly arranged frame; attractive light-reflecting finish; and some incredibly small bezels, this mid-range model could easily pass for a phone costing twice as much. As far as I’m concerned, that’s it
The most beautiful mid-range smartphone. Keep in mind that thanks to its display, the A51 may not be a starter for people with smaller hands – it’s thin, but still quite large.
Of course, since this phone costs a fraction of what the flagship product does, Samsung had to be smart about the balance between style and content. Consider Samsung’s choice of materials: Wrapping a phone in glass quickly exceeds its price, so the company used what it calls “Glasstic” for the case of the A51. As the name suggests, this just means that this phone has a plastic frame that feels like glass if you don’t scrutinize too closely. The Galaxy A51 is also missing
