Samsung Galaxy A53 5G continues the best-selling series and relies on an all-new SoC and a powerful battery. In some areas, such as the camera, nothing happens. In the test, you will find that the Galaxy A53 still gets our recommendation.
Thanks to new processors, 5G smartphones are already available for less than 200 euros. But it is not worth recommending all models.
The Galaxy A53 is beautiful, has a great camera and has been receiving updates for a long time. These are three things that talk about cell phones.
Samsung Galaxy A12 Review: Cheap Can Be Fun
If you’re looking for a new mobile phone and don’t want to spend €1,000 on it, you can’t go past the Samsung Galaxy A53.
First things first: the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is a good mid-range smartphone with strengths and weaknesses.
The Galaxy A53 is not much of an evolution from the A52 generation. So it’s hard to recommend it to Galaxy A52 or A52s users as an upgrade.
The Galaxy A53 5G is not a revolution, but rather a facelift of the A-series. Samsung has installed a more powerful battery and for the first time an Exynos 1280 processor. In the test, the smartphone showed a long battery life without a 120 Hertz display. At the same time, however, it disappointed when it came to the speed of the processor: Good, but not as fast – as the predecessor A52. The camera was a pleasure in both daylight and evening light. The only problem is the image quality when zooming. Other plus points: the A53 is waterproof, has 5G and Samsung guarantees Android updates until 2026, security patches until 2027.
Samsung Galaxy A12 Review, Advantages, Disadvantages & Features
Samsung has taken a big leap with the Galaxy A53 5G. Unfortunately not in the literal sense of the phrase, but figuratively.
The verdict on the Galaxy A53 is the same as the Galaxy A33: solid performance in an attractive package.
The difference between the two generations is small. But thanks to a slightly better camera (probably due to more image processing), longer updates and 5G, the Galaxy A53 emerges as a winner in comparison. But if you value speed, it’s better to use another option: the Galaxy A52s has a much faster processor than the A53. It is also recommended to compare prices before making a purchase decision. At the time of testing, the Galaxy A53 was available for €350, the Galaxy A52 for €260 and the Galaxy A52s for €320 (as of April 21, 2022).
The Samsung Galaxy A53 leaves us with many question marks in our heads. The smartphone has less functionality than before.
Samsung Galaxy A12 In For Review
At first glance, the Samsung Galaxy A53 is a typical mid-range smartphone without special highlights like a 108-megapixel camera or super-fast charging.
Long software support is the main argument for buying the Galaxy A53. On the hardware side, the phone is solid, but not critical.
With the Galaxy A53, Samsung puts the main priority in the lower middle: more battery life instead of speed. The battery is very powerful at 5,000 mAh – stronger than before. The camera is decent and suitable for low zooms and very wide shots. The housing is waterproof, 5G is on board. On the other hand, the new Exynos 1280 processor is slower than the A52s 5G and only reaches the level of the Galaxy A52 5G. Another gripe: There’s no wired headphone jack.
In terms of performance, it could be a little better – its performance is worse than its predecessor, which already looks strange. I often complain about the lack of minijack, and some may find the lack of premium housing bothersome. It’s also priced at where the Galaxy A53 5G started – I wouldn’t call it a bargain. But remember it’s a demo and in a demo you can think more about it.
Samsung Galaxy A12 Nacho Review, Pros And Cons
Although this smartphone has many advantages such as beautiful design, gorgeous display and great cameras, along with a large battery and 5G connectivity. The phone does not appear to be low in any way. While there are perks like wireless charging and reverse charging support, the device’s specs are appreciated as you get a decent package all around. The only concern about this smartphone is the high price, so you should look at options like the Realme Narzo 50 Pro which comes with similar features at a reasonable price range, but the final decision is up to you.
The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is reasonably priced, reliable, beautiful and capable of making a daily smartphone, it is suitable for anyone who does not want to play games that require hours every day and is very interesting in the camera of photos to share with friends on the internet. . The Galaxy A52’s flaw, the fingerprint sensor, has been fixed for the A53, but the friction it caused is offset by slower performance in some cases. It’s not so annoying that you’ll hate the phone, though, and I’ve happily used it as my primary device without needing to replace my SIM card right away. You get Samsung’s total quality, very user-friendly software, and a video-ready display—all for less than the original cost. The Galaxy A53 5G is recommended and a very smart buy, but it’s a little disappointing that it doesn’t look or feel like a step up from the A52 or A52S.
The Galaxy A53 5G doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it doesn’t have to. Instead, Samsung cleaned up the already impressive Galaxy A52 5G and dropped the asking price by $50. The low price ends up being the cherry on top because the overall package is one of the most impressive you can get for under $500. If you already have a Galaxy A52 5G, there’s not enough new here to consider an upgrade, but if you’ve been looking for an affordable way to enter Samsung’s ecosystem, the Galaxy A53 5G is a great gateway. Samsung’s quartet of rear cameras deliver the goods, day and night, the only problem being the lack of 4K / 60fps video. The large, 6.5-inch, 120Hz AMOLED screen is crisp and smooth, making video streaming a breeze. You shouldn’t have a problem pushing the 5,000mAh battery to the limit, and it’s not too slow to charge compared to its US rivals (except for another issue). Meanwhile, the Exynos 1280 chipset is far from the most powerful out there and may start to show its age in a few years, but it will serve your daily needs for some time.
There are no perfect smartphones, but there are successful models. Samsung introduced its flagship Galaxy A52 last year and is now being replaced by the Galaxy A53. This is one of our favorite phones we’ve written about since our Samsung Galaxy A02 review. Is it a twin clone with a new dial or an improved model? We looked at this in our review.
Samsung Galaxy A42 5g
The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is one of the best phones in its price range when it comes to design, display and camera quality. Packed with features, it also makes a valiant attempt to outsource Samsung’s OneUI 4.1, found on the Galaxy S22 Ultra, into a more affordable package, and on the surface it succeeds. The lag of the interface – whether you’re typing, swiping or clicking, unfortunately stops the highlights of the Galaxy A53 5G that make it an all-around great phone, which is a shame. If you like the A53’s design and are fine with the idea of waiting for your phone to breathe, then by all means pick up Samsung’s gorgeous crossover. It will be very good. However, if you’re impatient like us, grab the OnePlus Nord 2 or Realme 9 Pro +, or save your pennies and grab the S21 FE, Poco F3 or Poco F4 GT.
If you’re on a tight budget, I think the Galaxy S53 is an amazing phone. For $450, no other device will deliver everything this phone does, especially in the US, right now. That said, if you’re willing to wait a few months, Google’s $450 Pixel 6a will go on sale in July and could give the Galaxy S53 a run for its money. The Samsung Galaxy A53 is one of the best mid-range phones you can buy in 2022, but Samsung should be worried about the upcoming Pixel 6a.
Is the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G worth buying? I’d say yes, the phone is a great choice for anyone looking to get the most bang for their buck in 2022 without making too many compromises. If you want or need something better, I suggest you wait
