Update S21 G5 Price Review

Update S21 G5 Price Review – The Samsung Galaxy series is one of the best-selling flagship phone series, thanks to its excellent performance and modern design. For the Galaxy S21 series, Samsung has gone all out, lowering the price of the base model and making the top-of-the-line “Ultra” model better than ever.

The Galaxy S21 was first launched in January and was the best Android phone at the time. But since then, tons of competition has emerged, including the OnePlus 9 series and the Pixel 5. Not to mention devices like the Galaxy S20 FE are hundreds of dollars cheaper.

After almost six months since its premiere, is the Samsung Galaxy S21 worth buying, even at a relatively low price? Or has the competition already beaten him? I recently got a call to find out.

As mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy S21 represents a definite design change for Samsung. All the changes made in the new phone contribute to a more modern and stylish phone.

Gone is the annoying rectangular camera module in the upper left corner of the back of the phone. Instead, you get a camera module that fits into the frame of the phone, helping to bring the look together. I love this concept. It’s a change from other phones, but it’s not completely different and it looks great. We review the standard Galaxy S21 which has a triple camera. The more expensive Galaxy S21 Ultra offers an additional camera and this larger camera module.

The Galaxy S21 also comes in many different colors and they look amazing. My personal favorite is the Phantom Violet model, which offers golden reflections. This is the model we are reviewing. The device is also available in Phantom Grey, Phantom White and Phantom Pink.

Samsung has received some criticism for using the so-called “glassstick” in the Galaxy S21, but honestly, it looks and feels pretty good. It is soft to the touch and at first glance it can be mistaken for matte glass. Sure, it doesn’t look or feel as good as real glass, but you get used to it. Not to mention that the use of plastic also makes the phone a bit more durable.

Around the edges of the device you get a nice glossy bezel that houses the volume rocker and power button, as well as the USB-C port at the bottom. There’s no headphone jack here, but such are the times.

The front of the phone has a 6.2-inch edge-to-edge display, interrupted only by a cutout for the front-facing camera in the top center of the screen. It’s a great look, and using a phone like this makes me excited for Apple’s idea to downsize the iPhone series.

The screen quality is also very good. On the Galaxy S21, you will get an AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This high refresh rate ensures super responsive and very smooth animations. Honestly, I think a high refresh rate is much more important than a high resolution, within reason. You’ll notice a difference between the 1,080p resolution on this phone and the 1,440p resolution on the Galaxy S21 Ultra, but in day-to-day use it doesn’t make much of a difference. The screen is also bright enough for most users, even in direct sunlight.

Overall, the Galaxy S21 looks and feels great, plus it has an amazing display. Of course, “glass” is not the highest quality material, but it is more than good enough.

The Galaxy S series is always one of the most powerful on the market, and the Galaxy S21 is no exception to this rule. The Samsung Galaxy S21 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage – meaning it can handle everyday tasks, mobile games and more with ease.

The Snapdragon 888 is Qualcomm’s latest chip, and while it’s no match for Apple’s A14 Bionic chip, it’s incredibly advanced. Samsung is generally one of the first to offer a phone with the latest Qualcomm chipsets, and the Galaxy S21 series is no exception to this rule.

The Galaxy S21 is capable of loading games quickly, multitasking with ease and more. Overall, it feels very responsive thanks to the combination of a high-end chipset and a high-refresh-rate display. The Galaxy S21 comes with 8GB of RAM, which seems to be more than enough even with heavy multitasking.

The phone also performed well in tests. The device scored 1087 points on the GeekBench 5 single-core test and 3286 points on the multi-core test, surpassing all the latest generation Android phones. It didn’t reach the heights of the OnePlus 9 series and it didn’t quite come close to the iPhone 12 series, but it still performed very well and should continue to do well for at least a few more years.

Under the hood of the Galaxy S21 is a 4,000 mAh battery, and while things like the new chipset and high-refresh-rate display can be assumed to provide short battery life, the phone will easily last a full day of use and into the next. Battery life is not a game changer. If you play a lot of games and watch movies, you may need to top up at some point. But with normal use, the battery life is good, and if you charge overnight you won’t encounter any problems.

The phone also supports fast charging, wireless charging and reverse wireless charging – so you can charge wireless headphones and Qi-enabled watches. It doesn’t support Samsung’s 45W fast charging technology, but the 25W fast charging offered here is still very fast.

The Galaxy series has always offered the best camera experience and the Galaxy S21 continues this trend. While the device’s camera isn’t as high-end or premium as the Galaxy S21 Ultra, it still has a lot to offer.

Samsung Galaxy S21 5g

In the Galaxy S21, you get a 12-megapixel main camera, a 64-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. It’s a solid setup and a bit more versatile than many other phones in this price range, which can only have two of the three camera types.

Of course, it’s not much more comprehensive. The 64-megapixel telephoto lens technically only offers 1.1x optical zoom, but since it’s primarily a higher-resolution camera, Samsung bills it as a “3x hybrid zoom.” Ultimately, it’s not as impressive as the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s 10x optical zoom, but it still looks pretty good.

The Galaxy S21 is capable of producing detailed, clear photos with vibrant colors. In a well-lit environment, images simply look great. They aren’t as high-contrast as those captured in the Pixel series, but that’s neither good nor bad. That’s just the difference. I like it better.

Excellent image quality continues even in low light. Samsung has really worked hard to improve its dark mode and it shows. Low-light photos don’t contain much noise, so they look more natural and simply better than most of the competition’s photos. And enlarged images look pretty good too. You won’t get much detail at 10x magnification, but at 3x everything still provides good detail.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Review: Good Camera, Fast Processor, Great Price

The Galaxy S21 also offers some useful camera features. The camera can record 8K or 4K video at up to 60 frames per second, and there’s a director view that lets you switch between cameras while shooting video. It’s a nice touch, though you probably won’t use it often.

Overall, the Galaxy S21 offers some of the best camera experiences on a phone in this price range. The zoom capabilities make the phone a bit more versatile than some others in its price range, such as the iPhone 12, and the phone produces great photos in almost any situation.

If you’re looking for stock Android, the Galaxy S21 isn’t for you. The device ships with One UI which is currently up to version 3.1. It’s much improved, but that’s what Samsung users want.

Update S21 G5 Price Review

I have nothing against One UI at this point. Samsung has done a much better job of keeping it relatively clean compared to previous iterations of its operating system, and while it can feel a little cluttered at times, it’s not too bad.

However, there are some unnecessary aspects of the software. There is some bloatware, but not as much as other Samsung phones. Fortunately, many of them can be uninstalled. However, those connected to the Google ecosystem may want to install versions of Google apps — for example, the Android Messages app instead of Samsung’s built-in messaging app.

Another annoying aspect of Samsung’s software is the ads. Default apps often have ads at the top of the interface and
