Update S20fe Price Review

Update S20fe Price Review – The Fan Edition (FE) variant of the popular Galaxy S20 series was launched in 2 versions: one with only 4G Exynos 990 SoC and the other with 5G and Snapdragon 865. However, Samsung has now revealed that it will release a 4G only version. For some consumers, this could be a good deal.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S20 FE (or Fan Edition) as a more affordable version of its flagship smartphone line for 2020, thanks to some compromises such as a “glass” back panel. It was originally released in Exynos 990 or Snapdragon 865 variants – meaning those who prefer the latter will have to pay more as it comes with the X55 modem for 5G.

In fact, the vast majority of 865-based devices were marketed at a higher price because Qualcomm inevitably paired the same external modem with each version of the processor. But now Samsung has broken that mold with the SM-G780G.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Fe 5g Review: The Budget Flagship Champion

It appeared in a leak recently, portraying it as a new variant of the Galaxy S20 FE with the 865, but without 5G. It has now quietly made its way to Samsung’s official website in Sweden, and has scaled back the phone’s normal iridescent color palette (cloudy navy, lavender, red and mint).

His new sales page doesn’t have a price yet; however, the phone could cost less than the existing S20 FE with the 865. It currently costs 8,490 crowns (about $1,000), compared to 7,490 crowns (about $888) for the Exynos 990 version. So the new phone update may offer similar discounts in other markets .

Shortly after graduation, I became a professional writer and editor. My degrees are in biomedical science but bring some experience in biotechnology which leads me to believe it has the potential to change our health, environment and life in general. Over time, this developed into a strong interest in multiple aspects of technology: I can never write enough about the latest gadgets, gizmos and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming everything. Oh, and coffee. Samsung has often faced heat in India to drop Snapdragon chipsets for Exynos. Well, in 2021 we are witnessing another Samsung. The South Korean conglomerate is offering phones powered by Snapdragon processors with unprecedented enthusiasm. Taking this competitive approach further, it recently launched the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G, which fixes many of the mistakes of the 4G version and is powered by the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 865.

The 5G Fan Edition is roughly six months after its global launch, but just in time for the newly announced OnePlus 9. Is it worth considering under Rs 50,000? Let’s share our thoughts on the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in this in-depth review:

The S20 FE 5G arrived at our door in a simple package, and after two days of quarantined storage, we decided to unpack it.

It’s no surprise that the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G comes unboxed.

In addition to the phone, you get a 15W wall charger (still available) and a USB-A-to-C cable for charging and data transfer. We are happy that the display comes with a pre-applied screen protector.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Fe (exynos) Camera Review: Versatile Option With A Good Ultra Wide

The Galaxy S20 FE 5G is identical to the LTE version we tested last year. From the size of the phone to the color, it’s almost impossible to tell the two apart. We have absolutely no complaints as we find the aesthetics of the Fan Edition phones very appealing.

The S20 FE 5G is made of polycarbonate with a matte finish that fits perfectly in the hand. Samsung seems to have a trick or two as it continues to surprise us by offering a premium plastic look and feel. A premium PC also has other advantages – it’s less fragile, lighter than an all-glass back, and doesn’t pick up as many smudges and fingerprints.

The design team behind the fan edition phone seems to have taken a lot of design inspiration from the Galaxy S20 series. The side profile and back panel remind us of the Galaxy S20 series. Speaking of sides, the volume rocker and power button on the right offer excellent tactile feedback. Like its 4G sibling, the 5G variant also comes in three colors: Cloud Navy, Cloud Mint and Cloud Lavender. It is also IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.

Sammy prefers an optical in-display fingerprint sensor here. It’s more sensitive than the ultrasonic sensors we’ve seen on some Samsung flagships, and it’s proven just as reliable.

Overall, Samsung has done a great job with the design. The S20 FE not only looks great, it also feels great in the hand. We have no problem with the durability of the phone. Still, we wish Samsung had included a quality case in the box.

This is the gorgeous Super AMOLED panel on the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. Yes, this is the panel we tested against its 4G siblings last year. The AMOLED screen has a resolution of 2400 x 1800 pixels and refreshes 120 times per second. The touch response is equally impressive and the flat edges should be an added bonus for many.

Unlike Samsung’s 2021 flagship, this isn’t the same LPTO panel, so you won’t be able to adjust to save battery. Other than that, it’s a great panel for consuming content. It offers vivid colors and displays excellent contrast. The display is also bright and clear. If you like true colors, we recommend switching to the color-accurate “Natural” color profile. By default, it’s set to deliver images in the wider DCI-P3 color gamut, and they look stunning on this panel. It also supports Widevine L1 and HDR 10 certifications for viewing HD and HDR content.

Samsung’s One UI has come a long way in recent years. The Galaxy S20 FE 5G runs OneUI v3.0 based on Android 11. The latest version of OneUI offers dozens of customizations with Knox security. That said, the S20 FE 5G also comes with a number of pre-installed apps. Fortunately, you can uninstall most of them. If not, they can be put into deep sleep so as not to burden system resources.

Samsung has also been making a conscious effort to push out updates on time lately. The Galaxy S20 FE promises three years of updates, making the S20 FE 5G truly future-proof. But what about performance? Let’s tackle that in the next part, shall we?

With the Samsung Galaxy S20FE 5G, you won’t miss anything in terms of performance. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, making it one of the most powerful phones available at INR 50,000 and around. The Snapdragon 865 has been redesigned as the Snapdragon 870 SoC with an integrated 5G modem. With the FE S20 5G, you get 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

This raw power is visible in everyday performance and other performance tests. It felt snappy right off the bat, even when we put it through our multitasking stress test. Even with a dozen apps running in the background, the 5G phone feels smooth. Even heavy games are cached for a long time.

If native benchmarks are important to you, here’s a quick benchmark comparison of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G with its siblings, check it out:
