Update Redmi Note Note 9 Review

Update Redmi Note Note 9 Review – In India Rs. 5,000 to Rs. Xiaomi’s affordable Redmi phones in the Rs 20,000 segment are compelling options and generally worth the asking price. The brand launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro (review) and Note 9 Pro Max earlier this year, with powerful processors and cameras priced at Rs. 12,999 starting at Rs. However, the GST tax forced the company to hike the prices of these phones. Fortunately, we now have the Redmi Note 9, which graces the Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 segment.

Redmi Note 9 in India at Rs. 11,999 was launched. It’s the third and cheapest phone in the Note series, thanks to slightly upgraded specs. However, the Redmi Note 9 packs powerful hardware like a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, quadruple 48MP cameras and a large 5,020mAh battery with fast charging support. We review the Redmi Note 9 to find out if it’s the best phone under Rs 15,000.

The Redmi Note 9 has a familiar design and does not offer a premium look like the Redmi Note 9 Pro. The phone offers powerful hardware and long battery life with fast charging support, making it a very solid device at an affordable price all around.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Review

The Redmi Note 9 comes with a plastic unibody back panel that curves up to the front to meet Gorilla Glass 5 on the fascia. The phone comes in Pebble Grey, Arctic White and Aqua Green colors and was received as the last choice for the review. Aqua green has a cloudy finish rather than a glossy or reflective finish. It will pick up blemishes and scratches along the way. Thankfully, you get a silicone case in the box to protect the phone from that.

The fingerprint sensor is placed below the square-shaped camera module. Since our finger often touches the camera module, we feel that the module should be deeper to easily identify the sensor. The phone comes with a triple card slot for two nano SIM cards and a microSD card. The device gets a Type-C port at the bottom along with a headphone jack on both sides and a speaker grill.

Coming to the front, we find a 6.53-inch FHD+ Dot display, which means the hole for the selfie camera gets the phone in the upper left corner. The screen offers good brightness, so you won’t struggle to see it out in bright sunlight. It delivers punchy and saturated colors and enough sharpness to make videos look great. The phone meets the Widevine L1 standard, which means it can stream content on Netflix and Prime Video in full HD resolution.

Coming to the cameras, you get a 48MP quad camera setup on the Redmi Note 9. The setup includes a 48MP f/1.8 CMOS sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. It’s a good camera setup for the price, as the main camera delivers bright and clear photos with great colors and detail during the day. Wide-angle photos show little variation in colors, but are usable during the day. The macro lens can get up to 2cm closer to a subject, resulting in some beautiful macro shots during the day, but we did notice a shift in color temperature compared to regular close-up shots. Portrait mode can capture clear bokeh photos of subjects during the day, but it overexaggerates the background. Night photography is pretty average, with night mode doing little to improve things.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Review: The Best For Less Than 200 Euros

The Redmi Note 9 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset coupled with up to 6GB of RAM. It’s a gaming-focused SoC similar to the Helio G80 chipset, but offers a slightly faster GPU bandwidth at 1GHz. The Redmi Note 9 performs well in daily use and we didn’t notice much lag or app crashes. The phone is capable of playing PUBG in HD+ high graphics, which is very good for its price. During a 30-minute session, the game ran smoothly at first, but we started noticing lag and stuttering in the second half of the game. The phone was a little warm, but not alarmingly hot.

On the software front, the Redmi Note 9 runs Android 10 with MIUI 11.0.3. The phone was on the June security patch and did not receive the July patch during the review period. This software comes with preloaded Xiaomi apps like Mi Credit, Mi Pay and other third party apps and games like LinkedIn, Amazon, Facebook, Crazy Juicer. MIUI will show ads in some places, some can be disabled and some you have to live with. After all, you have to choose to enable the app drawer through the settings. MIUI 11 also offers dark mode, downloadable wallpapers and themes to choose from and more.

The Redmi Note 9 has a 5,020mAh battery that should easily carry through a day and a half of general use that includes some gaming, video streaming, messaging and social media browsing. In our PCMark battery test, the phone lasted 13 hours and 33 minutes, which isn’t the best time we’ve seen in this category, but it’s still good.

Interestingly, while the phone supports 22.5W fast charging, Xiaomi has limited the speed to 18W. So even if you get a 22.5W charger in the box, it will only juice the phone at a rate of 18W, and it will take around two and a half hours to fully charge the device. Xiaomi claims to release an OTA update in the near future that will enable 22.5W charging, further reducing charging times.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5g Review

The Redmi Note 9 comes with a reasonable starting price of Rs 11,999. At this price, you get a phone that offers long-lasting battery life, an attractive FHD+ display, and decent gaming performance. However, when you look at the price variations of Rs 13,499 and Rs 14,999, the phone starts to look bad. At this price, the Redmi Note 9 Pro is a great choice because of its faster Snapdragon 720G chipset, better cameras and a premium design. Another phone you can check out under Rs 15,000 is the Realme 6i, which gets a smooth 90Hz display, powerful MediaTek Helio G90T SoC and 30W fast charging support. The Redmi Note 9 is a great addition to the Note family and certainly worth buying at its starting price of Rs 11,999, but there are better options as you move up the price ladder. Xiaomi offers under its sub-brand Redmi. Cheap and well equipped smartphones. The proof of that is the new smartphone Notes redmi 9 Pro, which we will present together today. The new model will definitely want to build on the success of its predecessor with the Note Redmi 8 Pro label.

The Redmi Note series, barring the Note 9 Pro, has offered a reasonable price-performance ratio since its inception. Apart from a large battery, powerful Snapdragon processor and four rear cameras, it also offers a very attractive price.

If you are considering buying a smartphone with the Redmi Note 9 Pro tag, we recommend the seller Edwaybuy.com. For testing, we ordered the Interstellar Gray version (6 GB RAM + 64 GB) from the EU warehouse and the product was delivered to us very quickly. Delivery took only 6 days.

The smartphone notes redmi 9 Pro comes in a box of standard dimensions, similar to the similar model like Note 9S. The white box has the name of the smartphone and its image in multi-colored versions.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro Review: A Minimalist Jack Of All Trades

After opening the box, there is a paper envelope on top. It has needle-shaped parts to extend the SIM card slot, paper manuals, but a practical silicone case done in smoke gray. The housing has the requisite cutouts, including an unusually placed fingerprint reader.

The bottom of the smartphone is covered with a protective sheet. Below that, there is a charging cable with a modern and universal USB Type C connector. A fast cable charger end is also included directly in the package. It has a local European adapter and provides up to 33W of power.

The model redmi 9 Pro with markings is larger, mainly due to the large diagonal of the screen. Its dimensions are stopped at 165.8 x 76.7 x 8.8 mm and the device weighs 209 grams. In this case, a higher battery capacity will also result in higher value.
