This shredder works great without being stuck with shredded paper like my old one. It also cuts paper into 3- or 4-cm pieces, which offers more security when dealing with sensitive documents, for example, documents. Old bank statements, and other machine making are very heavy and sturdy, I would recommend them.

It closes easily even when feeding one sheet at a time. Feeding sheets into the machine is not very easy. It’s easier to clean clothes than my old shredder, which had to be taken apart. I think little and often is the only way to use this machine. The suggestion to use two minutes after a 30 minute rest is not exactly what I want, because I can’t destroy many sheets in two minutes. I don’t want to try a maximum of six sheets at a time.
Shredders are always a gamble…they usually wrap the paper around the cross cutter, especially if they have a laminate element inside. This is all well and good, but it will only hurt a few pages at a time or it will be noisy and slow. I wouldn’t try to destroy 6 at once. It works – I bring my mother’s personal papers to shred, as well as my own. If I use it consistently, it works. I especially like the handle for lifting the cutting pieces out of the bin.
It’s only a few weeks old, but it seems to do a good job of shredding documents and personal mail.
Easy to set up and run, but let it sit on a very light semi as well. It would be nice if there was some sort of fastener. One hand is also missing. Every time you try to lift the shredder, you raise the blades of the collection bucket and shreds of paper end up all over the floor.

It sits on my desk without taking up too much space. The top can be adapted to fit a large box when cutting multiple sheets. I find it works best when feeding A4 sheets folded in two. This prevents hidden sheets from ‘growing’. I like the ‘clear’ button which removes the residue and helps prevent static. Let the paper rest after a few minutes of use, otherwise the safety kit will not allow use for a while. I don’t recommend shredding anything other than paper.

The top sits in the bin instead of fitting neatly like my previous model and is therefore easier to knock over. After landing, the top will still try to tear, which is not safe. It struggles to cut standard A4 paper folded in half. Also, many times it doesn’t seem to release the paper so it has to be manually pulled out of the cover. Disappointing standard and will not buy this brand again.
The picture is misleading and not what was sent. This is an old shader and lasts a long time. The current one is not as stable as the shredder sits on top of the bin instead of fully inside and the quality is not as good. The correct image must be displayed.
As the title says, it stopped working after only 20 sheets were ripped, WHS took a few days to really figure out the problem, so finally sent it back to them. The reverse action was fine, I even tried cleaning the sensors as suggested and vacuuming the tooth area to no avail. Visually, it looks like this particular machine has been used before with the packaging not properly as it should be with the inner package split, the power cord not properly wrapped, etc. Now waiting for my refund as the machine can’t be trusted as they won’t get it back until the machine is not fit for purpose in my case.
This is a terrific shredder, the cutting blades are made of plastic so the paper sticks easily. I had difficulty folding 2 sheets of A4 paper and then when I put the 3rd part, the whole paper was so damaged that the reverse function was not working at all and it was impossible to load any more paper! I recently spent £10 more on a different brand and got a much better product that does exactly what it’s supposed to. Honestly, I would expect more from WHSmith
