Maybe the best except… I see some here claim it’s free. Definitely not. It’s $29 per device and yes, it locks your device. If you are a single user with many machines, you will have to do this over and over again, which I did. It’s one of the few options used and the feature set is great so I went with it. As I used it more and more I discovered a very important hidden value. Converts source audio files to wow and in the process increases file size by at least 15x!!! An hour of interview is about 1GB in the end!! I’m at the point where I’m doing so many interviews that I have to buy a new hard drive so I can use it. I decided to skip it and go with F5 which is free and uses mp3 files in its native state. I haven’t gathered any experience with F5 at the moment and if that’s not enough I’ll look for something else, but it won’t be Expressscribe.
