Update 70 Inch Samsung Tv Qled Review – The Samsung Q60A series (available on Amazon) might be the cheapest option in the Samsung QLED 2021 line-up right now, but it’s not.
Not cheap at all. This 4K/HDR model offers good picture quality, a stylish design and the latest Samsung TV features in a variety of sizes, making it attractive to many buyers.

Samsung 2017 Qled Q7 Tv Review: Samsung’s New Led Lcd Smart 4k Uhd Tvs Represent A Big Improvement In Quality. But They’re Expensive.
If you want good image quality without compromising design or fast processing, the Q60A is an excellent choice.
Of course, just because it’s one of the more affordable options in this year’s Samsung QLED lineup doesn’t mean it’s affordable overall. Even the 43-inch version of this TV costs $600 right now; For perspective, you could get a bigger 4K/HDR TV for that kind of money.
However, performance isn’t all you pay for in the Q60A. Its beautiful design is unmatched in this price range, and Samsung’s experience with quantum dots makes it deliciously colorful. If you want good image quality without compromising design or fast processing, the Q60A is a great choice, as long as you know what you’re paying more for. And if the price leaves you cold, you can expect a price drop later this year.
The Samsung Q60A QLED TV series is available in 8 huge screen sizes. I tested the 55 inch model.
Samsung Q80a Qled Tv Review: Close, But No Cigar
Despite the huge range of sizes (and price ranges), you get the same basic hardware and software experience across the entire TV series. Here is the most important information at a glance:
Some things to note about the Q60A TVs are that you lose some high-end features from the flagship Q90A series. The Q60A series doesn’t get a 120Hz refresh rate (primarily for fast-paced content like games and sometimes sports), and neither does Samsung’s new mini-LED backlight. However, you still get 4K resolution, quantum dot color and a bunch of other cool stuff.
We test TVs in a light-controlled lab at our headquarters in Cambridge, MA, but first we assemble them and run a mobile test model on the screen for at least 24 hours, giving it time to warm up and set up continuously. . Operation.
The performance data below was collected during our testing procedures, most of which is based on objective laboratory data collected during test models with light meters aimed at the display. We currently use different meters to measure luminance (black/white data) and color, but both use the QuantumData 780a signal generator to produce 4K test patterns for the TV. We use SpectraCal’s CalMan Ultimate software to tabulate test patterns and take measurements.

For the Samsung Q60A, I did the SDR and HDR measurements in the “Film” picture mode. Here are the key takeaways from the testing process:
Here you’ll find a solid selection of connectivity options, including three HDMI inputs and two USB ports. However, there is no HDMI 2.1 function.
The Q60A series is one of the more affordable QLED series of 2021, so it doesn’t offer quite as wide a range of connectivity options as the top-of-the-line Neo QLED models, but you still get plenty of connectivity here:
Its slim bezels and thin side profile make the Q60A look like a much more expensive TV than it is.
Best Tv 2022: The Best Tvs To Buy
I think what sets a TV like the Q60A apart (at this price point) is that it looks as good as much more expensive TVs. Of course, picture quality is the most important aspect, but there’s no denying that this is also a beautiful TV.
Despite the dual-LED backlight – more on that below – the Q60A has a thin side profile and is dressed in Samsung’s usual thin bezels, finely brushed plastic and sharp corners. Like most Samsung TVs from recent years, assembly does not require a screwdriver: you simply place the wide legs directly on the stand. You’ll find all the ports in an opening on the back of the TV, cleverly arranged in a vertical line.
The Q60A’s wide legs snap onto the stand without the need for a screwdriver, making assembly a breeze.
The included remote control is also good. You get Samsung’s new environmentally friendly solar cell remote control with Q60A TVs. It works just as well as the old battery operated Sammy remotes, but without any (batteries). Instead, it charges via indoor or outdoor lighting or USB.

Overall, this complete package is stylish and efficient, if not exactly good looking. You might get similar performance from a TCL or Vizio model for less money, but you won’t get this kind of design attention.
The Solar Cell remote control is an environmentally friendly solution that does not use batteries, but is charged via indoor or outdoor lighting (USB charging is also an option).
In terms of TV performance, the Samsung Q60A isn’t breaking any records, but that’s because the wave of HDR TVs like this tend to be so good. With a 4K/HDR TV in this category, we’re looking for good contrast, high brightness and wide color coverage that covers the basics, and that’s more or less exactly what you get here.
Tests showed that during SDR (non-HDR, Standard Dynamic Range) content, the Q60A produced average black levels for an LED/LCD TV with a VA panel, decent brightness, and wide color thanks to quantum dots. You also get crisp 4K resolution and decent motion performance here, including Samsung’s MEMC (motion estimation/motion compensation) controls.
Samsung Q80r 4k Uhd Tv Review: The Smart Shopper’s Option In Top Tier Tvs
For HDR content, the Q60A TVs are perfect, but they won’t blow you away like high-end models can. Brightness peaked at just over 400 nits, which is certainly better than a non-HDR TV, but nowhere near mini-LED-backlit sets this year.
Speaking of backlights, Samsung’s 2021 QLED TVs this year will feature “Dual LED” backlighting, which supposedly uses both “warm” and “cool” LEDs (in terms of color temperature or white balance) to “optimize colors and dramatically improve contrast.” According to Samsung.
While the company could be on to something in terms of color (the Q60A boasts some really great colors for its price range), the brightness and black levels you get aren’t dramatically improved by any means. They’re more than satisfactory, but they’re about what we’d expect at this price and pedigree. At the end of the day, though, the whole package is a TV that leaves most types of content looking bright, rich and perfectly detailed.
If the Q60A TVs cost a little more than the average bear, it’s because in addition to their stylish design and versatile performance, you also get high-quality processing and plenty of features. In a sense, the Q60A TVs are a “diet” version of the flagship Q90A we tested earlier. They have a slightly lower processor and slightly less features, but they still get the job done.
Samsung The Frame Tv (2021) Review
The Q60A’s Tizen smart platform offers plenty of apps and integrated features, as well as access to assistants like Alexa, Google Assistant and… yes, Bixby too.
In addition to the full-featured Tizen smart platform and its myriad of smart apps and features, one of the most exciting new features for gamers is the Game Bar, a software menu that brings together all game-centric information and features in one place. At a glance, you can check the input delay, connected devices, refresh rate and so on.
It’s worth noting that this feature is less useful than on more expensive QLEDs, as the Q60A only has a 60Hz refresh rate and doesn’t support HDMI 2.1 (more on that in the next section).
You still get several features that you can take full advantage of: the Samsung Health ecosystem is included by default; With SmartThings you can integrate Q60A with smart home products; Automatic low latency mode; and Bixby, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant built-in.
New Samsung Tv 2021: Every Qled And Micro Led Screen This Year
The Quantum 4K Lite processor naturally handles all of this without giving the Q60A TV series a truly premium feel.
The Samsung Q60A series is a great general choice, but with no HDMI 2.1 compatibility and only a 60Hz refresh rate, it may not appeal to videophiles or next-gen gamers.
If you’ve been between the Q60A and a higher-end QLED or Neo QLED model, it’s worth noting that you get HDMI 2.1 compatibility on slightly more advanced models, so if you’re interested in features like variable refresh rate (VRR) or 120fps, you should consider spending a little more (or buying your favorite TVs from other brands altogether).
However, if you don’t know what any of these features mean, aren’t going to play advanced gamers, and/or aren’t a master at 24fps playback (which doesn’t play 100% smoothly on 60Hz TVs), he wasn’t in trouble here.
Samsung Qnq7f Series Review: Qled Tv Serves Up Innovative Design, Familiar Lcd Picture Quality
I mentioned above that the Q60A wasn’t an exceptional choice for HDR, and I’d like to elaborate. With continuous brightness peaks of more than 400 nits and around 90% DCI-P3 (HDR color space) coverage, the Q60A is far from wasted, but it’s clearly marked for its stylish design and high-end features as opposed to performance claims. .
