Looking For A Job Post On Linkedin

Looking For A Job Post On Linkedin – Over the past few weeks, I’ve seen quite a few LinkedIn profiles with a green check mark around their profile picture. (The first one I noticed was on the LinkedIn profile of Chris Arnold, a friend from high school in Wichita.) And the hashtag in the checkmark is #OpenToWork.

For years, people have struggled to decide how to update their LinkedIn profile when looking for a new job. Add them a new current job called Looking for the next great opportunity? Do they update their job title to say “Opportunity Seeking”?

Another question I asked is whether they need to update their LinkedIn profile at all. The idea behind this question is that a job seeker can negotiate a better salary if they have a job. Therefore, they prefer not to tell a potential employer that they are currently unemployed. (This is a personal decision they have to make. I recommend being honest because the prospective employer will be checking their work history and knowing when their last job ended.)

LinkedIn has added the ability to tell recruiters if they’re open to new job opportunities. If you enable this feature, you can choose whether all LinkedIn members or only recruiters see that you are open to job opportunities. If you choose to share with all LinkedIn members, LinkedIn will add the #OpenToWork photo frame to your profile picture.

New Features To Give And Get Help From Your Community

Take the extra time and initiative to write your job search post in a clean Google Doc or Microsoft Word document first. As a last resort, a note-taking app on your phone will work, but ideally you’ll run it somewhere with autocorrect and even an app like Grammarly to catch any mistakes.

This is especially important because, if all goes well, this could be your first interaction with new colleagues and potential employers.

Your post should focus around two things: why you are looking for a new job and why you would be valuable to any new team or company.

Whether you’re looking to change careers, return to work after a break from employment, find a new challenge, move to a new location and find a new role there, or even recover from a layoff, it can often be helpful to contextualize why you’re making a career move .

Time to share those details. During the interview, you can talk and clarify what went wrong, but you don’t want to burn bridges or publicly destroy the business, even if it seems attractive at the time.

This is your chance to start showing who you are by highlighting your personal brand, skills, experience and even achievements.
